I feel like the people who found these babies did a good job, they tried waiting for mom to come back but when she didn’t they made sure the three beebees were safe, and then the rest of the family is here too, yay!
You do an amazing job caring for the unwanted kitties. However I wish you weren't needed if you catch my drift. If people looked after their cars and got them fixed there wouldn't be any kitties struggling to survive. But until then I am grateful for all your hard work Hannah. ❤️
I have a not so little anymore black kitten sleeping next to me because people are still irresponsible. His mom got to have her babies inside but the mom's owner was going to dump the kittens if my sister and I didn't take them that day. He supposedly wanted to keep the runt for his kids but we found out a few weeks later that someone found a single black kitten on that street that looked strikingly similar to the 2 we took. We'll never know for sure but we have our suspicions
OMG last night we found 2 kittens and saw mom with a third, but in a separate spot. Last night we got the kittens and today we caught momma!!!! They're in my spare daughter's room for now. This video is my life right now! Thanks for all you do.

Me and a neighbor trapped a couple of dumped kittens (about ten-months-old) up in the mountains. The local Humane Society are helping us. Your videos have been SO helpful to me as a first time foster, and now a kitty-trapper, too! Thank you, Kitten Lady!
@@user-qr8ki8ue4i how did you realise that? Did they reveal that in interrogation? Of course not. The cats were outside & living, you caught them in a trap. That by its very definition is “trapping a wild cat”
This is similar to my cat's story. She's a young cat, the vet thinks she's under two years, I've had her for a year. She was found under a deck in MD with three kittens. Some kind soul brought them to King Street Cats in Alexandria VA where she stayed until coming home with me. She's such a sweet cat, I always wonder how, why she ended up under that deck. It's Thanksgiving and I am grateful that there are people like you who not only care for homeless cats but more importantly, do such a great advocacy work.
You live in my neck of the woods! It's irresponsible for people not to spay and neuter, I just don't get it. Your cat has a loving home and I wish all cats and dogs could have the same.
If anyone else who does TNR and fosters read this, you are all great people and ya'll dont get enough credit for the lives you change for our furry friends
Last winter I cooperated with my local shelter to TNR *12* community cats. Two of them were actually not released, because they were tame enough to be rehomed. Just imagine how many kittens we prevented from coming into an existence of struggle!
Don't forget the importance of colony managers. After the cats are returned, we are the people going without in order to feed, monitor the health and make sure new cats are spayed/neutered. I've done rescue, foster, and trapped and being a colony manager is the hardest part. I care for these cat 365 days a year on my own time and dime without any outside support. I wish TNR would do a better job of acknowledging that colony managers are a vital part of the process.
I volunteer with a local cat rescue. I'm not old enough to be part of the TNR program, and can't foster because we have a dog already, but I go in and socialize with the cats so they get used to people! If you want to help out but are in a similar situation, it's a great option :)
@@AstralArbourSystem young people should be able to help out with TNR. I don't understand that. You could help set traps or help feed colonies. I can understand liability in actually handling Community Cats, but preparing/cleaning traps, etc, shouldn't be an issue.
I volunteer with a TNR group that does neuters almost every month (about 10 / year). They recently had a mom with 4 kittens. They seemed pretty tame, so were probably cared-for strays. Kittens were about 4 weeks old, and they, and mom were being kept at the shelter until all were big enough for neuter. Meanwhile, a tiny 1 week orphan was found without a mom. I don't think they did a quarantine of the tiny orphan (probably checked it over for fleas or obvious respiratory issues). Orphan was introduced to "mom," and mom accepted it into her litter! She was such a sweet momma to her 4 and to the orphan 😻 Luckily, no diseases passed among them, and orphan got about two weeks of milk before they had to separate the kittens. The older kittens were starting to get too strong / rough when playing with the much younger orphan. Orphan then went to a foster human, and was old enough for 4 hour feedings (instead of the 2 hour feeds of newborns).
What a wonderful ambassador for cat guardianship! My own 2 adults are sleeping happily. But she is right, we don't need any more kittens in the shelters!
Excelllent job explaining the issues involved and how to solve them. I'm so glad they found the mama and 4th kitten and they can all be reunited in a couple of weeks. Good for the neighbor and y'all, and what a good mama cat that is, she looks good. Hoping the reunion works fine for all concerned. Great lesson for people who want to help but don't know where to start. Great review for those of us who think we know anything but don't. :D
Aww, stories like this...heartwarming and heartwrenching at the same time... Thank you, amazing Hanna, for saving defenseless, helpless, extremely lovable kitties.
I have a wild mama that I feed outside. She has had a litter of kittens the last two years but I have never found them. I want to get her fixed so December 4 I have an appointment for her and the unfixed male that hangs around too. See I live in a Mobile Home park in the country, and people move out and leave their unwanted cats behind. Also, I think people dump them too because about 4-5 kittens show up at once and they are friendly to humans like they have been with someone. The humane society comes out and gets some of them.
As of yesterday, I took in my first pair of foster kittens (two little black females named Cheetah and Lion) and have so far applied my prior knowledge from working at my local cat shelter to create a daily routine. Change and clean the litter box, refill food and water, check-in breaks for play time, etc. It feels good knowing that the short time I have them will go a long way for the shelter, and I have you in part to thank for making that change in my life.
The day after Christmas 2021 my wife's friends found a single 6 or 7 week old kitten in the snow on the side of the road. They rescued him and gave him to my wife. At my insistence they went back to that area and over the course of two days found three more kittens and momma cat. They kept them together but the 4th had already settled into our house so he mostly stayed here with occasional visits to see his mother and siblings. Now he's a year old and 14 lbs and huge, so much so that he dwarfs our 11 lb nine year old cat!
My girl cat was a foster. She was 3 months when they git her. She was initially reluctant. The second slowest of her litter to warm up to humans. Now she sleeps on my face.

I had a cat that had kittens under our shed, I was able to catch the babies and find them homes. Then, of course, she had some more, long story short before we could catch her and get her spayed we now have 10 cats from a couple different litters, plus a couple of her kittens had kittens. But some other cats showed up, and we suspect it was our elderly neighbors, so I got a trap from RAL, after 2 1/2 years I have gotten 11 females spayed, and 3 males for free through RAL. And at RAL we got low-cost spaying and neutering for the ones we kept. For those in the Richmond Va area, RAL is the Richmond Animal League, if you have a feral cat issue, you can go online for their phone number and information. The trap was $75 refundable, but when I finished and turned my trap in, I donated the $75 back to them. We aren't rich, so I did what I could, with RAL's help we couldn't have done it. Thank you RAL
