Well from what I read, there are three different variants of firing pin assy, my variant has a little half round retainer on back side of slide, to remove pin, you first push it inwards until it clears the retainer, you then slide retainer down and out of it's track/guide, being careful not to let the firing pin fly across the room due to it being under spring tention, I haven't seen nor taken down any of the other variants, so I won't be of any help if yours isn't like what I just described above.
I dont know anything about re nickeling, but the old titans have 2 pins holding the barrel in place. They should come out with hammer and steel punch. If you dont man handle anything you should be fine
Old comment but this is for anybody who comes across this with the same question. There is no need to remove barrel, and you risk damaging the frame removing the pins when doing so.
I can help with this👍 to disassemble the mag, first take a look at the very bottom of mag, you will see a little "button" in the center, press it in with something suitable like a punch or wood dowel etc, once cleared of base, slide the base of the mag back until its free of the main body, while being mindful of the spring and follower inside Wich can be removed for cleaning/repair or inspection.
I carry a Titan .25 everyday, can;t always have the 1911 on me.
I know it"s an old video but glad Doc put it on here. Awesome work and helped this 'smith....
Good work Doc...Yeah the first is always special....
Great video, very informative. I always enjoy watching videos that do disassemble/reassemble of guns.
Is there another video where you show how to clean the parts up and get it ready for a new coating?
Great video but that sure wasn't pink on my screen, must have been the lights.
MCGEE1115 - It doesn't look pink until he "shades" it with his hand. His work light washes the color out pretty bad.
so where is the part to show removal and cleaning of the firing pin?
I guess u knock out pins

I know this is an old video, I have a question I want to re-nickel mine! Does the barrel have to be removed, and if so will it be hard to reassemble?

Wat about Stryker in slide
There is no striker,as this is a hammer fired pistol, I assume you mean the firing pin? There are 3 different variants of firing pin and retainers.
Please disassemble mazagin this gun
