No they don't that's why it's the most popular game now if u go on the road unless you play one pocket you usually can't get any action. I will say this if it wasn't for power one pocket and Scott revolutionized the game and made it very entertaining to play and watch. Since everyone started playing to win instead of playing to not lose the game is so sick now
a very rare instance where the spectators negatively influenced the outcome of a championship match. Notice SVB's immediate reaction after the shot @ 1:07:03. SVB is probably over a 90% favorite to make the bank that he misses by a considerable margin in this instance. also quite rare for any of these top guys to get affected at all by outside happenings.... they train to be immune. Just proves that they are human too.
Fedor would have gotten that ball if it was a legal shot, then it would have been his turn also. when Shane fouled on purpose, he loses a ball and it spots, but so does the ball that he made for Fedor. when both of them are spotted, its very hard but possible to make that shot either by carom or banking. basically Shane was trying to buy time.
Yeah but then it would seem unfair to people that still have one especially for us amateurs we would want our finals to be a true old school double elimination
@@chriscripplercruz1833 In old school double elimination the finals were exactly that. The final. If you get to the finals from the winners side and someone from the looser side wins then there is no do-over.
Shane will always always be Capt America. But now that Fedor is with us its going to be hard to stay on top but no matter what he'll always be known as that
I love pool but one pocket is unbearable to watch. They need to adjust the break rule where at least one ball must cross mid table or something to prevent the slow break and endless safties.
That's the game tho. It's evolved over the years to be more accommodating to fans, but the core of the game doesn't need to change any more than it has. Some games will inevitably be a long battle of safeties, which in their own right can be super entertaining. It has transitioned to more of a shooters game than it used to be, but I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. Banks and One Pocket are my favorite games to watch and play, and I feel I've learned more from watching One Pocket than anything else. The simple little defensive plays are so relevant in 8 and 9 ball as well, and since those are the only games available in my local leagues, that's all I usually play.
@nick - Fair points but the area of the game you mentioned being the most entertaining, banks and kicks which I certainly agree with, could be brought about quicker with an adjusted break. For me, the last 5 or so balls is the most enjoyable as that is when we see those type of shots after the cluster is gone. Could be that way from the start is all I’m saying. Would shorten the game and make it more entertaining for the spectators. If anyone that enjoys this game wants it ever to become more mainstream and popular, they need to accept that the initial part of the game is a channel changer for most, as evident by how low the popularity of one pocket is, and be more open to further adjustments. As an avid player, just shooting the ball to the other side of the cluster for 20 mins is boring and most agree but if some like it and don’t want it to change, that’s ok too.
Great video, Mark and JJ on commentary, the two best.
These two don't play old-guy one-pocket.
Hahaha 😂 But they can, which is why they're so good.
They are much better players. Sportsmen evolve.

Why the video look like 90s video ? It is 2024 now
Can someone explain the strategy in following the ball in on the first rack?

I don’t agree with allowing a buy back at the finals.
From semi finals on, there should no longer be a buy back option.

Was that Corey Duels dad to the right of the announcer in the beginning! 🤣. Kinda looked like it could be!
I had thought the exact same thing, guy looks just like Cory
One pocket I'll have to go with SVB I guess
Svb played like a short stop, way too many unnecessary shots
I think the 2 commentators are pro svb. Should be neutral.
Everyone’s pro scab. Can’t help the bias. Not even I can. USA Babyyyy
👁️👁️ hello there

Clearly you don't understand the game 😂

If it's not for you, it's not for you. Some people love sports but hate watching basketball or baseball or cricket etc...

@nick - My suggestion would be that 2-3 balls must pass the 3rd diamond for a legal break.
