This isn’t new. During WWII most American civilians didn’t even have any idea of how horrible the atrocities were until the concentration camps were freed. The world has never stopped moving forward with life just because war and atrocities are happening. If that was the case, then sex slavery would be taken down and the world wouldn’t keep moving, wars would cause the whole world and every person to stop what they are doing to stop it, but sadly this is not reality, the world would’ve stopped when Hong Kong was taken over, but you see this isn’t reality. The entire world can’t stop just because of a war. Expecting everyone in the world or everyone in America to stop working and start boycotting is one of the most privileged and ignorant narratives to hold.
