This is one of the best helicopters since 1962. It is a versatile chopper and model makers manage the capture the essence of this chopper. Looking forward to it
You guys are pumping out some great videos. I'm one to research an aircraft extensively before purchase, but a quick rundown with sounds, modeling, instruments, etc. really helps plant the seed before deciding to delve further or not. FYI, I did buy this Chinook on sale, and it's been awesome to say the least. It's a totally different flying experience to anything else in X-Plane. Now, just waiting on the re-release of the Osprey.
Only recently started flying helicopters in Xplane11 but fell in love with this model as soon as it came out. The detailing is amazing. its at the top of my purchase list.
Great modeling and very realistic. Used to use the CH46 Seaknight in 1966-67 in the USMC, very similar looking, 48 ft long compared to 52 ft for CH47, also 3 landing gear vs 4 for CH47, also smaller turbine engines in rear are not protruding as much as the CH47, although sounds very similar. CH47 still in use with US Army and still be made. USMC stopped using CH46 in 2015, and started using the MV-22 Osprey. Turned out the CH46 was less reliable than the CH47 and had more structural failures and crashes( did not know that when flying around Vietnam, just learned now from Wikipedia article).
I have always wanted to be a helicopter pilot in the Royal Netherlands airforce. I would love to make a Dutch skin on this so I can kind of pursue my dream :)

Wow - just wow. This is an amazing looking model - I'm not a helicopter guy but there's no denying the level of detail found in this model. Wow.
There are no words to describe all the hard work they put on the CH47.... Maybe the word perfect will fit...
