I saw huge egg jellyfish on fishing vacations in croatia, some of them where like a meter wide and so damn big, such cool animals and completly harmless like you already looked up on google 😂. You better try that again it would have made the video even better. My brother and i had to swim back from an island to shore because we lost our boat (the tide got so high during the night and it lifted the anchor and also took out a big tree to which our boat was also tied off to). I had to go get something from the boat, when we where nightfishing for huge conger eels in croatia and we had our little camp on the other side of the island, when i got to the spot where the boat was i could not find it (big panic moment 😂), i tried to find it with my shitty headlamp but there was nothing, i ran back to my brother and we made a plan, we hid all our fishing gear and otzer stuff in big bushes and we got ready to swim back. It was after 1am at that point and pitch black, the only thing we could see where some lights in the distance from the main big camping ground, so we started to swim which was not a problem since we where pretty good swimmers but we could not see shit besides the lights in the distance and our little headlamps did not do shit, they actually made it harder to see so we slowly swam (not to fast to make sure no cramps happen which would not be fun in that situation, and we got in the water and stopped swimming from time to time to make sure there was not a dangerous current direction because thats how people die and because the tides where really really string that day which caused this whole situation to begin with) back which was about 1mile in pitch black and pretty cold water not even the moon was out, nothing happend during the swim besides swimming into driftwood which was not a pleasant experience since you have no idea what you are touching when you cant see shit and the driftwood being a little rough or slimey, sharks where really rare there (but there could be a shark in the area) so we did not stress about. We got safely to the coastline, now pretty cold and shivering once we got out of the water, dad was pissed that we "lost" the boat. I got up really early with a plan to walk down the coastline in the direction of the tide current hoping to find our boat, so i walked about 2-3miles on that sharp rocky shore thats also slippery in some places (almost like the rocks in malta but they want to kill you a bit more 😂) then i spotted our boat tied off to a boje really close to the shore, i was so damn happy, i guess someone found our boat just drifting and brought it back in and tied it to a boje, i never found out who did it but i will be forever gratefull that this nice person did that 😄. We went back to the island and got all our stuff and did not touch the boat for the last days of that fishing vacation after that incident 😂. I love the ocean and you should never underestimate its power, you dont need to be scared of it just respect it and always think twice about what you are doing. Your situation could have been pretty bad, im guessing you guys where in a harbor type area, there could have been a strong outgoing tide during that time which creates a pretty strong current that goes out to the open ocean and there could have been some outgoing wind that you may not have noticed while on land or in the harbor area because the land shielded that area from the wind, then you guys would have been pretty fucked with (i guess) no way to call for help like a eperp (emergency signal device that send out a emergency signal with your gps location), always make sure there is not a strong outgoing tide and wind when you do stuff like that, you can just google both for your area pretty easily, stay safe guys 😄 This video remided me of that, i just wanted to share that stroy 😄

The funniest part of this is when he takes the torch and swims off under water, now his dad is probably just floating there in the dark like, wtf did I sign up for.
I once saw one of these giant grubler doing a swimming test at sea, 60-80 cm was baffed tryed to finde it straight away witout any lucky, crasy sea monsters.
