Yeah, you need muscles to perform the whole piece I think.

@@yigitvural1150 Yes, cello is a very demanding instrument, physically, technically, and musically.

My fellow Cello pupil, Lars Johansen was good enough to receive a scholarship to go and study with Fournier! I switched to racing motorcycles and spent the next 6-7 years trying to kill myself!!....

Marvelous playing! BTW - the fastest version to my knowledge of the first movement. But he does not seem to hurry at all....

Sebastian Baverstam speeds through it. The heavy metal fans love it but it's ruined by the speed and desire to show off virtuosity. This and Starker's is far better.

Jacob Koranyi is by far the best! (but then...it is all a matter of opinion!... do have a listen!) er, this one by Fournier is absolutely superb!

Some kind of very high pitched squeal/ring soft in the recording I doubt part of the composition.

Rusalka 78 Perhaps you could point to a particular phrase as an example and point to another performance which makes it so by comparison?

    • @ruxandraibric3079

@@eblackbrook , it's not ""by comparison", no need to compare anything at this level of misunderstanding the text. There's only common sense and basic musicianship needed ;)
