- Full Story: indianapublicm... The term doula means female helper and has traditionally been used to identify a non-medical person who helps a woman during childbirth. Angela said you can think of end-of-life doulas as someone who helps you on your journey to dying.
She when I had my stroke and was sent to a place for hospice I was given 3 to 6 months to live. It was horrible they would tell me things that would hurt me instead of giving me peace and comfort after getting better then what they said would happen. I’m not by all means better I’m still bedridden but I’m home with my family.

Being a Death Doula is s calling... You can "train" for it but if it's not your calling you won't last....
You are ministering to the spiritual and emotional needs of a person....
You also create an emotional comfortable atmosphere and environment for your client.,

I don’t call myself a death Doula. I do the same thing, but I am a hospice volunteer. I don’t get paid. I don’t mess with crystals or any religious content that’s for the chaplain. I’m there as a volunteer as a friend as a comforter.

@@alisonf6478 calling out something that is wrong isn’t judgement, calling darkness darkness is not judgement. I don’t know anyone-NOT ONE person that’s been healed by holding an inanimate object but I do know people who have been healed by reaching out and taking ahold of the hand of Jesus.
@alisonf6478 Jesus has seared their minds already. Given them over to themselves. It's sad, but they've chosen a life apart from Christ 😢
The point of the doula is to help you transition to your own unique end of life experience. If yours doesn't involve crystals then you won't have crystals. This lady clearly chose incense, crystals, and reiki as a way to help her transition. You choose to have Christ and the bible when your time comes. Who says your way is the "correct" way?
