  • This is a VESA-compatible stand that comes with LED lights. It incorporates a 4-bar linkage design for the tilt mechanism that can support monitors of most weights and sizes.
Maximum weight - watch the video to find out
Maximum height 11 in (though you can just scale the z height and make it taller)
Can be used for portrait mode if your monitor is 23 in or smaller. (Less than 21 inches in width)
    Tilt about +- 5 degrees
    Angle +- 40 degrees
    Safe weight: 20 lb
The stand is part of a bigger monitor arm project that I started in the summer of 2021. My goal is to 3D print a fully functional ergonomic monitor arm. If you want to follow along make sure to subscribe to my UA-cam channel and check out other builds.

We used PLA in testing, but I would recommend using ABS or ASA, especially if the ambient temperature in your environment is above 25C. This is highly important because PLA will creep and deform over time if the room temperature is too warm or the load is too high.
    15-18 % gyroid infill
    4 Walls
    0.15 layer height
    Support as needed
Orientation is highly important to see one of the images.
    Parts list:
    4 ¼ in screw 3 in length
¼ in screw 3.5 in length
5/16 in tapered screw 1.5 in
    20 ¼ in washers
2 5/16 washers (one 1.5in diameter and one regular)
½ in threaded rod 14 in
    2 ½ nylon locknuts
5 ¼ in nylon lock nuts
    2 ½ in washers
    1 kg roll of filament
    4 days of print time

Awesome job Yan! This is a great 3D printed monitor design and shows a clear evolution of your previous design. The 4-bar linkage adjustment mechanism is a particularly nice touch. Since it's strong enough for 10+ monitors, it's likely to last quite awhile under a normal use case with one monitor!

nice one want to do same, you got link for bed extension arm. And where is that web page to find ideal center of mass, is there a program by any chance to look in ?

i really like this video just like your previous one, your are insane. Can you make a version like this 0:42 but for 2 monitors and make a video about it? ii don't know anything about engineering so if i asked something impossible than nevermind this idea.

Is it really 3d printed monitor stand if you put metal rod into it and attach everything to it? In this case 3d printing is used as glorified enclosure.

Layers directon is most impotrant for strenght of 3d printed parts! Learn that and use it! Orientation of layers on your design isnt right!
