For my money, Marques Colston is the best receiver in the Super Bowl era to never make it to a Pro Bowl. It's either him or Joey Galloway, but games like this are exactly why I side with Colston
Joey Galloway was very fun to watch.
At almost any given moment Galloway could take a pass and go 60+ yards Easily
He was very good, but Colston was more consistent due to Galloway having injury problems that Marques did not. Quiet Storm played 6 years less than Joey, but only had 1,191 fewer yards and 5 fewer TDs. Colston had more first downs, a MUCH higher catch rate, higher yards per target, and fewer fumbles. Colston will always be a fan favorite in N.O. A seventh round draft pick that came on the scene at the same time Brees did, and will endure as one of the names associated with the rebirth of the team and city.
@@mmclaurin8035 To be fair most of Galloways QBs in his career were Trash.
Brees is one of the best ever to play. So Colston definitely benefited having a HOF QB.
Edelman
Yea. That’s strange to me. #12 was different!
This is the game where Drew Brees not only gets the record but gets his revenge against chargers awesome video to put for Monday night game NFL throwback
He had actually already gotten his revenge back in 2008 in London.
will brees go 4-0 against the chargers, or will herbert get his first win as a starter
He'll go 4-0
Brees all the way
@@chaserockwell2312 good call
@@saltybot5449 good call
He went 4-0 against his old team that dropped him. Nice.
Just looking at this upload, I really miss Phillip Rivers in a Charger uniform!!
Literally remember this Chargers' game for two reasons: Shitty o-line play and Melvin Ingram. Goddamn rookie!
Do the “Most Unexpected Shootout” Jets vs Giants week 10, 2019 or the “Most Unexpected Blowout” Jets vs Raiders week 12, 2019
U gotta stop requesting that jets raiders game not unexpected, the jets were better last year
Nathan Cleary Ok fine, last time
Nathan Cleary That’s why I suggested a different game too
@Keith Cousins I had a brain aneurysm while reading this
@@nathancleary3190 record wise no but okay
Is bring back Memories when the Chargers are in San Diego
The Saints are a good primetime team
What a horribly officiated game
I miss those nbc score boards
Ryan Matthews what could’ve been
This is gonna be a game for the ages
17:33 & 17:41 Watch the Left Tackle #78
8 years later, Brees still taking a shit on LA
0:55 what a hit man geez. You gotta love it
War damn eagle
I remember watching this game on tv and I love this scoreboard.
Chargers legend Robert Meachem. Fun fact, these were the only 2 TD catches he had for the Chargers after signing a $30+ million deal in the offseason. He'd go back to the Saints the following year.
Oh lord
Bad officiated game too
2:14 NFL history is made
Michael Thomas really screwing me in fantasy
1:02
That looked like a Bernie Kosar throw.
(Kosar was awkward as Hell but accurate as it gets for you youngsters).
Sure was!
Two quality gunfighters in their prime squaring off on SNF. Rivers could never beat Drew as a Saint I believe.
R.I.P. Football Hall of Famer
NEW ORLEANS SAINT #91WILLSMITH💪🏼💯❤️🙏🏼🏈🏈🏈🏈
GOD BLESS HIS BEAUTIFUL WONDERFUL FAMILY🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Miss Philip rivers in a Chargers uniform ..
Hey, can you do Giants vs Eagles 2013, where the eagles lose 15 to 7? I know it's not much, but I would REALLY like to see that, especially since it's hard to find.
Feel like a lot of people forget how great Colston was.
Love Philip Rivers, what a player, even better man.
Worked out fine for both not really rivalry
Can we have links to those cool logos in the top of the thumbnail?
Just make them yourself very easy
How many guys from this game are still playing today? Brees, Rivers, Ingram, Jenkins, Jordan. Maybe I’m missing a few lineman but that’s insane.
Why did the Chargers let Drew Brees walk away again?
He was "injury prone"
Please do texans lions thanksgiving
PI on Gates?? Beyond a joke...
Philip rivers doing his thing at the end.
The charger pain got me looking back at the old games. 😔 cheers 🍾🎈
Tonight is another rookie vs legend. Legend has won every single time
How can u need 30+ yards for a first down, and have a 5 yard defensive penalty be an automatic 1st down? That's such a terrible rule. How about up it to 10 yards but no automatic 1st? That way if you're in a NORMAL down and distance it will still likely be a 1st down. There's so much offense and it's really really hard to play defense. U sack a guy they hold u 10 yard penalty 3rd and forever and a little 5 yard penalty just renders everything u did b4 that absolutely irrelevant? It's just really bad. No excuse to have that rule that way. Just really dumb
Prime Brees + Prime Rivers = Good Content
The two most disrespected quarterbacks of all time
One of the best game I’ve ever seen.
tough days as saints
*Los Angeles Chargers
It’s funny that brees got to break this record against the team that didn’t think he was good enough
The NBC Cameraman did Philip Rivers dirty on this day
Jesus #1 no cap all fax
Verse: "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the lord." Hebrews @ God bless
I like how the saints players were being paid incentives to injure other players and we pretty much just glossed over it in like a week or 2 but the weather causes some footballs to be a little less inflated than normal because that's what happens to pressure when it goes from Room temperature to cold it drops and for 3 years The patriots had to pay and Brady had to go to Court he fought it and won then they came after him and reinstated it they paid million dollars and lost a 1st round draft pick. Never mind that it's pretty much a crime what the saints did That should put them in Prison But we need To condemn someone because of a ball being a little under inflated. Basically all because no one can stand that the patriots are better than them

Colston killing it
Drew Brees is a sellout. as is the NFL...Play football and not politics
revenge for what?
Revenge for Drew Brees against his former team, obviously.
