Can i make this in a small river type place?Coz in that river there are some turtles. Will the baby turtles go to the killing area?
NaMiature: "some turtles will die"
Thanos: "half of the population will still be alive"
"Some will suffocate"
Excuse me what
yeah bcuz of entity cramming, you could disable it, but without entity cramming, the farm would be really laggy
edit: if you're only joking and already knew that, just ignore this

@@GoodUsername. I don't think here they are suffocating due to entity cramming. I think they're just partially in a block and so suffocate to the wall
See a tutorial where they actually collect the item needed instead of just pulling it out of the creative inventory is so refreshing

For those having issues with the baby turtles going into the collection area (three years later...): I found more success breaking the trapdoors and slabs blocking the entrance (so there is a 1 block gap) and keeping the adult turtles away with some pillars 1 block apart in front. This lets the baby turtles pathfind easier to the water instead of just tposing in front of the trapdoors, which I can only assume is some buggy AI. I also ended up extending the water to be two blocks tall (moving the sand and hopper area 1 block lower) and adding another row of signs since apparently turtles pathfind to 2 block deep water. It's now working underground for me, thankfully!
The solution you provided solved the problem amazingly. ty
when you say pillars do you mean wall blocks? I'm gonna try this myself and see if it works!
You literally created a young turtle murder farm.
Why’s this so hard to pronounce

and we can use the remains of the dead turtles i.e. sea grass that they drop to feed it to their parents to breed. *satan laughs*

Instead he could have just said follow the pregnant one 😂😂😂😂😂
Trying to make this work in 1.20? Move the slabs that are above the water one block back, covering the collection area. This will allow the baby turtles to actually pathfind into the collection area, but still prevent the adults from touching the water.
For bedrock?
Ty
This works! TYVM.
“Follow the fatter one” bro I died when it said that
I love your tutorials!they help me a lot!
4:42 i thought he meant set the build on fire
Lmaooo😂😂😂😂😂
Found the sourcer
lol why
Turtle eggs will mostly crack and then hatch at night, I find that it's usually the very end of the night. According to the wiki page most eggs will hatch after 7 nights (90-ish %), but only if the player is within 128 blocks.
No one told me that there would be MURDER INVOLVED
yeah. BOOO CRUELTY TO PIXELATED TURTLES
The ending reminded me of how most animals are born to be used as recourses for humans and are left to die afterward, idk why, it just did
Amazing and original. Thanks again!
This is perfect I was just about to go searching for a tutorial when this came up!
I love how the turtles will go back to where they spawned to lay the eggs because that is how sea turtles are in real life they go back to the same place they were born and lay their eggs there and it continues our generations
Reptilians are also like that.
Guess I just found my turtle farm, great tutorial .. thanks! :)
I was like:" oh what a lovely farm 😊"
But then 08:20 😳
I was hoping it was gonna end with some method where the adult turtles are able to get out and swim freely in the ocean while only the baby turtles are trapped and... it sort of did I guess
This looks like it works great! Nice work!
Another awesome tutorial, thanks :)
This is actually really useful
i like your intro! so refreshing too see a minecraft youtuber with an actual original intro instead of just ducking up and down a bunch and waving to the camera
definitely subbing, best tutorials on youtube
Really makes me appreciate the regular mobs
Only problem I have with this is that the adult turtles who make it out never despawn, your whole entire area is just gonna be nothing but turtles (which can quickly lag out the world)
Maybe if you thicken the wall, they will *all* suffocate, instead of just some.
You monster.
@@jamsterical8467 Hell yeah.
Or since those are all adults, build an outer area where they all fall onto magma blocks or campfires or something.

Did anyone else have a problem with the baby turtles not going through the trapdoors? They get stuck
It can be that your farm is too close to the ocean so they stay on your beach instead of pushing through
Thank you soo help ful
Thx
The ending is kinda funny LOL
crucial but useful. noice🙃
Ah yes Techno is gonna magically remember how to make a turtle farm.
Techno dead now
@@bbj2657 bro you don’t need to say that now
easy and great tutorial
My favorite way is a 4x4 box with a minecart hopper running around the 8 outside blocks with 1 water in the middle and just breeding them until they die of entity cramming
Is this still working in 1.18.1?
I've tried so many times but baby turtle just stayed on sand and didn't go to the water.
I tried on in-land area and ocean+beach biome and none of them worked.
Did i miss anything?
yeah basically i used sea grass too. But it looks like they will swim to water or ocean, whatever, in this video, and mines just stayed right there.
I have not been able to get this to work at all on 1.18.2. The babies won't go over the trapdoors or under the slabs, even when I try to lure them with grass. If I get rid of all that and lure them into the trap manually, they stay there when they grow up, they don't die or glitch out.
I water logged the slabs closer to the ocean and that seemed to fix it
спасибо! 😌🙏
Some good ideas here, thanks for that !
However the "sea grass farm" is a bit disappointing, though it was holding good promises ^^
Wdym, it works pretty well
My babies aren’t going to the ocean
gotta get that scute for that nice turtle hat
I swear ive seen a similar design that allows for a means for the turtles to escape once they are grown up. Cant remember where i would have seen it.
That tutorial is good
Nice tutorial, but I was looking for a more turtle-friendly one, one that actually releases adult turtles back into the ocean instead of killing them. >:c
You can try extending the area of where the hoppers are. Make it into an area that adult turtles can fit. Have trapdoors from blocking them going into the sea and open it manually once they grown up for them to go into the ocean
Nice Turtleorial
Whats up NaMiature. Congrats on 100k!!!
I like the idea accept for the releasing part
8:27 if u dont want them to suffocate, exchange all the walls with glass :)
But those turtles wont despawn eventually lagging the server
@@mrtnzram ye but they will push each others out
@@mrtnzram It can be useful if you have bad intentions
I find it ironic how Jens intended for these turtles to be preserved, but instead he made us watch them grow up, then kill them for no other reason than lag prevention.
At least it would be somewhat justified in-game if the turtles dropped meat or scutes.
Super
Congrats on 100k!
Thx u
Simple efficient farm
So I want to just set up a passive collection thing that gets me enough scutes to make 2 helmets and a handful of extras for the potions, and let the turtles go/not kill them after, but literally every video turns into kill.
Would the best way to do this just be to increase the size of the collection area by a block or 2 so that after I get the 15+ scutes I can just deconstruct the farm releasing them?
Epic house 🤯

As far as the sea grass farm goes i might have messed up i set it up exactly but when i flicked the lever twice it didn't start
Same here. I'm on Besrock 1.19 on an iPad... maybe it's not compatible. But it seems like I just need to put two observers facing each other to cycle/flicker the redstone to spit out the bonemeal. I'll be trying it to see.
