One fact you forgot to add is that none of the characters EVER say ice bear's name. It's not even shown in writing; the closest they've gotten to saying ice bear is they referred to him as "ice" on a spin selector.
I never realized Demitri Martin was voicing Ice Bear! I love his stand up work, and I adored his Comedy Central show, so I'm glad to see him be successful.
California features bears in many locations including heraldry. Anyone who understands heraldry also understands that areas devoid of an animal probably have that animal on the heraldry. England has three Leopards (a lion has no mane, Leo-lion pard-beard), Wales has a Dragon, Scotland has the Unicorn. Cali had a subspecies of brown bear but in very American fashion, they shot them all. So, now devoid of bears they can take part in the old heraldic tradition of putting animals they don't have on flags.
WHY IS THERE NO LOVE FOR GRIZZ??? I don't know anyone (except for myself) who's favorite character is Grizz, or at least don't hate him. If you ask me, he has the most believable characteristics and reminds me a little bit of how Mickey Mouse acts in the old, 1930's Mickey Mouse shorts, which I love.
I love all three of the bears equally! They all manage to be so close despite their highly contrasting personalities; I wish they were real so I can give them all a big hug ;)

Never even heard of this show before it randomly started playing due to the Auto-play being on Netflix i think. It took a few episodes for it to reel me in and turn me into a Bare Bear fanboy 🙃. I don't really watch these CN all ages shows, like Adventure Time. But for some reason it really hooked me in and now its one a my few "comfort shows". Love the way it makes San Francisco & Oakland look like a nice clean place to live. So yeah, great show, and i cant wait to force it on my children in the future!
