When he made shaktimaan he had already portrayed Bhisma pitamh which made a really stoic and heroic image of him and he just doesn't see that in anybody else. Well I think the actor from Hanuman Teja Sajja would have been a great choice.

Respected, Mukhsh Khanna I’m nearing 30 in a few years. Shaktiman holds a special place in our memories. We new-age Indians want to see this character at the level of Spider-man and Batman. We want this to achieve new highs. This will give us a feeling of Victory. Don't ruin the prospects like this. If not Sony then we have many other Production houses like Red Chillies and all who can make it perfect with their top-notch VFX

Very logical. I was 5 when I watched Shaktimaan for the first time. I was an avid fan back then, just like many other 90s kids. When the internet got cheaper in India and more accessible back in 2016, nostalgia hit me hard on one day and I found Shaktimaan's episodes on YT available for free. I did end up watching 2 episodes and then gave up. I was not able to relate to it anymore and subconsciously the comparison was with some of the finest Hollywood flicks I had watched till then. Change is the only constant and one needs to move on with time to evolve. I do have empathy with Mukesh Khanna Sir though, but unfortunately that's what most people who watched Shaktimaan in the 90s have for him, and nothing else. He should try to move on as well.

I'm a 2003 born, and didn't see much of Shaktiman untill during the Lockdown. Watching Shaktiman and Ramayan with my whole family was great. Then They announced the movie. I was so excited for both but while Ramayan seems to be soo promising, Shaktiman failed to do so. I have great respect for Mukesh sir, but now it seems soo desperate. It is starting to get cringed . I just hope we get some good news from Shaktiman soon.

He said Ranveer Singh is not a good choice.. although Ranveer maybe not a good personality doing illogical photoshoots and showing unnecessary energy and which many people may not like and he also has a connections in film industry and he also could not be considered as the outsider due to some fact... i made a fan made Shaktimaan story when I was at college... let me summarize this : In the final confrontation with Kilvish at the end of Kalyug, Shaktimaan somehow defeated his arch nemesis and locked his mortal body inside a sacred ground. But Suryabangsis knew that evil cannot be banished completely. So after the death of the mortal body of Shaktimaan due to heavy battle wounds, his soul was concealed inside his symbol and kept it in the temple of tirupati (inside the door whose gate has never been opened) in a hope that one day some worthy one will rise against the evil and take the responsibility. Now after Kaliyuga, three yugas were passed and again Kaliyuga arrives. the Qutub Minar is the place where Kilvish's soul was captured. A far descendant of Shaktimaan, name Vedant Arya (from Reliance Entertainment Shaktimaan), incidentally is chosen to be the next Shaktimaan (too many things happens in between, including his death and other things). Now evil also awakened (through various reasons I cannot describe here fully) and Good again rises against evil but eventually Vendant was mortally wounded and it becomes impossible for him to defeat new form of Kilvish (different name), then the old consciousness of Shaktimaan (Mukesh Khanna) emerges in physical form in Vedant's body, makes him the final form of Shaktimaan. together they defeated Kilvish. Kilvish forced to flee and threatens to come back with more power. But now the combination of their souls are ready to face the new evil. Guys Please don't laugh if you don't like it,,,it's my own imagination ...
I quite like the idea but would like to suggest some changes... Like, the final confrontation between Shaktimaan and Kilvish shouldn't have come like a complete victory of Shaktimaan but rather as an intense battle where Shaktimaan somehow manages to overpower Kilvish at the cost of using the 7chakras to their fullest but due to injuries sustained by him he is not able to fully defeat him and only succeeds in sealing Kilvish's soul. The Suryavanshi Guru then takes Shaktimaan back to their place and starts treating him where Shaktimaan enters into a vegetative state due to overuse of his chakras... And such 40-50yrs pass by, Kalyug is at its peak, the negativity is more potent than positivity and using this negativity Kilvish eventually manages to break free of the seal put by Shaktimaan and in this process he destroys his own physical body.... Then he searches for a host and takes control over his body and begins regaining his powers by doing heinous acts like terrorism, corruption (BTW Kilvish does all this through an organisation, not like the previous version where he ran a kind of cult) One of the victims (Vedanta Arya) of these acts of Kilvish was later chosen to be the next Shaktimaan and he gradually takes up the mantle and fights against Kilvish and his evil forces...... Midway where he fights somewhat of a very powerful enemy and is about to lose, OG Shaktimaan comes to the rescue and helps him defeat the enemy. Then MK mentors Vedanta Arya while continuously fighting Kilvish and his evil forces
Well, Shaktiman was always about making people learn. He is now teaching us an important lesson, "you either die a hero or remain alive to see yourself turning into a villain." How poetic!
For nostalgia you can only add shaktiman theme song, but in today's generation to revive shaktiman they have to work and update in all aspects including vfx and storyline
In the era of 'नया भारत', we need a new shaktiman who doesnt forgets his roots but isnt afraid of change. Shaktiman has potential to deliver on big stage but it takes courage, imagination and proper intentions to create it. I would love to see crossover of shaktiman and krish becoz donon ki shakti andar se aati hai.

The biggest thing I noticed in the clip was that the kids, in my view, aren't even aware of Shaktimaan, considering he is our childhood superhero and the show went off air in 2005. Thus, I respect Mukesh Khanna, I used to watch Shaktimaan so much as a kid, but now is the time to pass on that mantle and modernize. If he wants Shaktimaan to be successful now, he needs to bring in the things to which the kids nowadays will connect. He made Shaktimaan our favorite superhero, if he wants to make Shaktimaan a big deal in this era, he has to put his efforts into making children nowadays aware of Shakitmaan. This can happen with good storytelling. Now, I am not an expert here, this is just my opinion. Plus, I loved the idea that Sony India was chipping in to take Shaktimaan on a grand scale, I hope it is still happening. (fingers crossed)

We have to understand Shaktiman will be targeted for young children. We cannot compare it with DC/Marvel. This might just be perfect for kids if done right. Let’s give him a chance.

Very logical. I was 5 when I watched Shaktimaan for the first time. I was an avid fan back then, just like many other 90s kids. When the internet got cheaper in India and more accessible back in 2016, nostalgia hit me hard on one day and I found Shaktimaan's episodes on YT available for free. I did end up watching 2 episodes and then gave up. I was not able to relate to it anymore and subconsciously the comparison was with some of the finest Hollywood flicks I had watched till then. Change is the only constant and one needs to move on with time to evolve. I do have empathy with Mukesh Khanna Sir though, but unfortunately that's what most people who watched Shaktimaan in the 90s have for him, and nothing else. He should try to move on as well.

I'm a 2003 born, and didn't see much of Shaktiman untill during the Lockdown. Watching Shaktiman and Ramayan with my whole family was great. Then They announced the movie. I was so excited for both but while Ramayan seems to be soo promising, Shaktiman failed to do so. I have great respect for Mukesh sir, but now it seems soo desperate. It is starting to get cringed . I just hope we get some good news from Shaktiman soon.

He said Ranveer Singh is not a good choice.. although Ranveer maybe not a good personality doing illogical photoshoots and showing unnecessary energy and which many people may not like and he also has a connections in film industry and he also could not be considered as the outsider due to some fact... i made a fan made Shaktimaan story when I was at college... let me summarize this :
In the final confrontation with Kilvish at the end of Kalyug, Shaktimaan somehow defeated his arch nemesis and locked his mortal body inside a sacred ground. But Suryabangsis knew that evil cannot be banished completely. So after the death of the mortal body of Shaktimaan due to heavy battle wounds, his soul was concealed inside his symbol and kept it in the temple of tirupati (inside the door whose gate has never been opened) in a hope that one day some worthy one will rise against the evil and take the responsibility.
Now after Kaliyuga, three yugas were passed and again Kaliyuga arrives. the Qutub Minar is the place where Kilvish's soul was captured. A far descendant of Shaktimaan, name Vedant Arya (from Reliance Entertainment Shaktimaan), incidentally is chosen to be the next Shaktimaan (too many things happens in between, including his death and other things). Now evil also awakened (through various reasons I cannot describe here fully) and Good again rises against evil but eventually Vendant was mortally wounded and it becomes impossible for him to defeat new form of Kilvish (different name), then the old consciousness of Shaktimaan (Mukesh Khanna) emerges in physical form in Vedant's body, makes him the final form of Shaktimaan. together they defeated Kilvish. Kilvish forced to flee and threatens to come back with more power. But now the combination of their souls are ready to face the new evil.
Guys Please don't laugh if you don't like it,,,it's my own imagination ...
I quite like the idea but would like to suggest some changes... Like, the final confrontation between Shaktimaan and Kilvish shouldn't have come like a complete victory of Shaktimaan but rather as an intense battle where Shaktimaan somehow manages to overpower Kilvish at the cost of using the 7chakras to their fullest but due to injuries sustained by him he is not able to fully defeat him and only succeeds in sealing Kilvish's soul.
The Suryavanshi Guru then takes Shaktimaan back to their place and starts treating him where Shaktimaan enters into a vegetative state due to overuse of his chakras...
And such 40-50yrs pass by, Kalyug is at its peak, the negativity is more potent than positivity and using this negativity Kilvish eventually manages to break free of the seal put by Shaktimaan and in this process he destroys his own physical body.... Then he searches for a host and takes control over his body and begins regaining his powers by doing heinous acts like terrorism, corruption (BTW Kilvish does all this through an organisation, not like the previous version where he ran a kind of cult)
One of the victims (Vedanta Arya) of these acts of Kilvish was later chosen to be the next Shaktimaan and he gradually takes up the mantle and fights against Kilvish and his evil forces...... Midway where he fights somewhat of a very powerful enemy and is about to lose, OG Shaktimaan comes to the rescue and helps him defeat the enemy.
Then MK mentors Vedanta Arya while continuously fighting Kilvish and his evil forces

The biggest thing I noticed in the clip was that the kids, in my view, aren't even aware of Shaktimaan, considering he is our childhood superhero and the show went off air in 2005. Thus, I respect Mukesh Khanna, I used to watch Shaktimaan so much as a kid, but now is the time to pass on that mantle and modernize. If he wants Shaktimaan to be successful now, he needs to bring in the things to which the kids nowadays will connect. He made Shaktimaan our favorite superhero, if he wants to make Shaktimaan a big deal in this era, he has to put his efforts into making children nowadays aware of Shakitmaan. This can happen with good storytelling. Now, I am not an expert here, this is just my opinion. Plus, I loved the idea that Sony India was chipping in to take Shaktimaan on a grand scale, I hope it is still happening. (fingers crossed)

I Think Mukesh Khanna Said A Long Time Ago That He Thinks No Actor Currently Suits Shaktimaan Because Of Morality & Ethics. See No Doubt There Are Good Actors In Bollywood Like Ranveer Singh And All Who Can Play Shaktimaan But No One Has The Ethics Of Shaktimaan To Inspire Kids Today. In The Late 90's & Early 2000's Kids Were Imitating Shaktimaan, Shaktimaan Was Their Idol And If You Remember Mukesh Khanna Always Used To Teach Some Moral Values At The End Of Each Episode. Now In Today's Era The Biggest Problem Is Every Bollywood Actor Is Embroiled In Controversy Or Controversial Things Be It Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Deepika, Vicky Kaushal Etc. Mukesh Khanna Thinks No Can Be The Role Model To Kids Like He Was In The 90's & 2000's And If You Think About It Shaktimaan Was Not Simply A Superhero Character To Play By Anyone, It Was Always About Who Can Embody Shaktimaan With Its Morals & Ethics And Who Can Be That Role Model To Kids.
I Think Mukesh Khanna Is Right To Some Extend But I Have To Agree With You PJ That Mukesh Khanna Shouldn't Play Shaktimaan In Today's Era Because Even He Himself Wouldn't Be Able To Replicate The Aura Of Shaktimaan.
