As a supermarket worker, I knew about food that was thrown out. I didn't like the fact that we did that but I couldn't do anything about it. Supermarkets themselves need to get on board with this. Fortunately my supermarket eventually did. They do wonders for communities and get food to people who may not be able to access it very easily.
