That’s great that you’re practicing! I don’t know if I’m really qualified to give advice but I would say try to set out some goals for what you want to achieve with guitar - do you want to play other people’s songs or will you eventually want to write your own? Do you want to be good at rhythm guitar or lead? Ask yourself those kinds of questions and you can plan what you practice and how you practice a little better. For example, I want to get better at lead guitar so I’m practicing my picking motions and trying to get my fretting hand under control for speed, and I’m trying to learn more lead guitar solos to help!
Another thing I think is really important is using your ears and having a decent knowledge of the fretboard. I think people tend to rely too much on tabs and they can be helpful! But I think it’s better in the long run to be able to use your ears to listen to music and learn the music and have enough knowledge or the fretboard (whether that’s scales or chord shapes, learning the CAGED system works very well for me to learn both!) to be able to use them as puzzle pieces in solving music without tab. I’ve found that this is what helps me learn songs that don’t have tabs or sheet music and I try to strengthen that skill as much as possible.
In terms of resources, I don’t use any books but there are two UA-camrs who have taught me A LOT - Eric Haugen (@EricHaugenGuitar) and Adrian of Anyone Can Play Guitar (@acpg). I’m still learning a lot from them and use their videos (all free on yt!) to help me. There’s also the added benefit that they have the exact same music taste as me it makes the learning more fun and relevant to how i want to play 😄 Other than these two I just listen to A LOT of music and learn the songs that excite me and try to use my ears to do that. I also have a few favourite guitarists that I like to learn in the style of specifically.
And I think that brings me to my final point - Learn the things that you want to play and what MAKES you want to play. Make sure you’re learning songs or playing in the style that you want to develop. I know a lot of people say music theory is optional, and that may be true for some, but I think fundamental music theory is very useful and can help you go a long way. But it’s definitely important to learn and apply that to the songs and genres you love so you can stay motivated to keep going and become a better guitarist!
And take your time to learn! Go as slow as you need to make sure you get things right and avoid any bad habits or techniques. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint” is such a cliché but it’s true and it can be easy to get frustrated when you’re not progressing as much as you think you should, but you will get there! Just give yourself the time to get there.

@@sangpham3826 That’s great! If you’re a Daniel Kim/W2E fan I would definitely recommend understanding some essential jazz chords and chord shapes! I’ve noticed that Daniel uses them a lot in their songs. I’ll be seeing the band next month :)
