Not gonna lie, base building would be pretty cool. Like digging your own anthill. You’d have to do like anthill maintenance dealing with cave ins due to building to large without upgrading walls, manage food, egg, queen, warrior rooms, etc. Dig up into a tree and have a tree base. Underground base defenses.
I miss empires of the undergrowth. This is a good successor series

I like the ants being named via numbers. I also like that the developer remembeed that all ants are females. It's a common error to see in games.

that is not true their are male ants they are called drones
@@brandongriffin79 Yes. When a queen is pregnant, she uses the semen from the male she mated with to make all of her daughters who make up the workers. When she produces offspring without semen, then she makes a male or drone who's sole job is to find a young queen and mate with her.

I am super stocked for this!! I can't tell u guys how many times I've been at the park or in my yard and watched all the ants running around or a spider hunting or a butterfly floating and just wondered what a life in that small world would be like. This games will be a fun spin on it for sure.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have all the ants in defeated nests die instead of running away? Same to defeated legions, not even all of them fight and when they lose they just run away

If I’m correct, those soldiers ants are called majors and there is such a thing called a super major which is bigger than a regular soldier ant
Its just soldiers.
Im like 90% sure the ants in this game are supposed to be wood ants which do not have majors or supermajors. Just soldiers

Do you know why there are Dor Beetles in this game? Are they known to have a symbiotic relationship with ants Irl
I did a quick google search and I couldn't find any correlation with dor beetles and ants. Dor beetles are just pretty common throughout Eurasia.
@@GandalfTheTsaagan yeah I was trying to search too and I couldn’t find anything about it either. I wonder why they chose them, there are other beetles with symbiotic relationships with ants
@@battlepans1927 Probably because they're common where the story takes place and they look like tanks which is their role as a unit.
