Pure stoke! It's cool to catch the same fish just to see the growth in a certain time frame but at the same time it could mean that the number of big fish in a body of water is much lower than we think! Those lake migraines are no joke either haha!
You are as good and true as they come, you deserve every fish you catch. Ambassador and role model of swim bait fishing and utmost care of keeping them alive and safely released. Thamk you for your pure content. God Bless man🤙
Great video and catch! I have recaptured several big ones here...and my son and I both caught bass over 11lbs on a trip to Toledo Bend in 2016. When weighed at a member marina and released, the Lake Assoc gives you a free replica. The bass are weighed, measured, and tagged. When we left that morning, it started raining, bad. It was the historic flood on the Bend and they opened the dam gared 100% for weeks....flooding everything below. My buddy went back two weeks later in Feb, and caught my son's 11.10 in the very same spot. The fish traveled 8 miles upstream from Fin and Feathers Marina, against terrific current, to get back to her site. The fish weighed 10.34 lbs, so lost weight doing this.
I caught the same fish 3x within a 2 month period during fall transition everythime she was within 150' of the same brush pile on a point 7.9 crankbait 17' 3 weeks later 7.14 15' nates 9" A week after that she was 8.3 in 5' and took the nates a second time
I think it's important to realize that the same level of care for these big fish can benefit our fisheries when we also take this level of care of the 3s, 4s, and 5s we're catching more often. It's sometimes tedious and doesn't fit into our fishing style or our "momentum" when we're on the water, but the benefits to the fishery are real.
Thats so dope! Been waiting to break my PB for quite some time now and trying to stay dedicated. I've only been able to stumble upon 5-6lbrs on the Hinkle. Hopefully this season grants me a good one!! Dig the videos as always!
Great story, great fish! I'm not catching anywhere near this caliber of fish but my past two pbs were the same fish set up on the same spot during the same time of year. I know of another giant fish on a nearby lake that was caught multiple times off the same tree by different people. Goes to show that these big fish seem to be creatures of habit and not nearly as plentiful as we would hope.
Caught a couple fish twice but nothing of that caliber in New York. Just some 4’s and 5’s. Great story, and great job putting it all together. Love this
@ unfortunately not by me tho haha. I’ll be hunting for them. Feels good to have confirmation that I may have a chance at that caliber of fish in my home waters
I have had the same thing happen to me at my personal best in my kayak. I caught her on a Megabass jerk bait, and my scale died on me, but I measured her out in early spring and took a guess on her weight, then released her. Within the next two weeks, one of my dad's buddies was fishing the same lake on the side of the cove where I caught mine and sent my dad a picture of her, she was 6 pounds and 5 ounces when he caught her. My dad showed me the picture, and I knew it was the fish I had caught weeks prior due to the patterning and due to her having a very beat-up upper tail fin. Comparing pictures as well, she was closer to 6 pounds 10 ounces to 7 pounds due to her having played her eggs by the time he caught her. Love your videos, btw and working my hardest to get my first double Digit on a Tyrant! Any advice on how to more effectively use a tyrant on Panoptix?
Do you go stealth mode with the electronics when hunting these giants? Growing up we used to catch the same big one, it was missing an eye so it was easy to tell
Here and there. I got them a lot as a kid but as an adult they have gotten less. Get small headaches a couple times a week but rarely do they turn into a migraine.
Glad to hear I’m the opposite sadly they’ve gotten worse for me. Would lose my vision sometimes and lots of other shit. They got me on emgality been a game changer for sure!

That's so cool! You going to make it back to Clear Lake this year?
Planning on it!
@@WorkingClassZeroFishing Nice, maybe we'll run into each other again. What's the stuff you put in the livewell called?
Such a rad story

A 12 pounder was caught in NY this year also 9 lb smallie. St.lawrence and Cayuga bassmaster did a piece on the 12
@ unfortunately not by me tho haha. I’ll be hunting for them. Feels good to have confirmation that I may have a chance at that caliber of fish in my home waters
@wolfsbloodny for sure brother never know! There's some prespawn giagantors on the st.lawrence!
What a cool video..... Never miss!
So awesome!! Were these fish sitting on some structure?
No. First time was shallow in vegetation, second time was out deep off a higher spot.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 pure gold
You can be sure those are the same fish. Biologists use this same method to identify fish. Cool video and story
i love your videos man
just picked up a 9in citizen any words of wisdom
Thanks. The 9 looks pretty good high in the water column on an unweighted beast with a couple of small tungsten nails stuffed in the pectoral fins.
That’s really bad ass
Well said
I caught the same fish 20 minutes later with my lure in it .
Dedication = result eventually

Dude makes some really kino content! WIsh he made more of it.

Thanks for sharing. Thats a skill i dont have with FFS
For anybody struggling with the bait fouling out, try stopping the bait before it hits the water. This helps a ton

what net do you use? sick video!
Promar. It has a big 30" basket
We must have the same luck
Nice video. Do you still get migraines?
