Thank you im doing this right now and was puzzled!! I just opened my vise just enuff to slip this in then tap it an wallagh im changing my diaphrams now thank you! 12 years later still helping a guy!!!
Broken slider also. Problem: You just don’t know how much epoxy or JB-Weld was used on the metal insert when 1st assembled. If they did it right, you should not be able to remove the insert. Another guy on UA-cam shows a less destructive way to remove the top plastic retainer that secures the diagram. ua-cam.com/video/84DRVc9J5GQ/v-deo.html. I tried it using my lathe, worked out great. Lathe gives better control than the grinder.

if you're lucky your slides wont break using this method. i just broke 2 of them with minor taps.. looking for another method for the other two
where can I get just the diaphragm lips?
