Cole and I hit the ice for an ice fishing challenge using underwater glow lights! These lights attract plankton, which little fish eat...you guys know what happens next. Cole and I did a 1v1 fishing challenge using green and blue lights to see if there was a noticeable difference in which worked best! Do you guys think glow lights helped us catch more fish? Or head up to Canada and go blue walleye fishing. There are only a couple lakes that have natural blue walleye, and they are amazing to see.

Before ice season is over I would like to see another small jaw or ring perch video. I'm glad to see y'all catching some fish though. It has been a grind in VA to catch bass the last month with the damn rain and the bipolar weather. It would be cool to use that green light for night crappie fishing in my area. Keep up the great work and you're doing a great job Cole.

The bait fish will be in the light while the predators will be in the shadows just outside the light. You want to fish on the edge of the light & not in the center.
That is what they were doing they had the light down another hole about 5 feet away so they were fishing the edge of the light barrier.

I had an old 1000 hps light on my old dock. caught a ton of fish with it at night. Definitly made a difference. Love too see some pike or walleye late ice when they turn on.

You're videos are awsome. I would love to see more overnight fishing shows. With the lights I think you should have been spread further apart from each other or tested them separately. If fishing one light at a time you and slaw could have had a test whether it was better to fish close to the light or further away on the outside/fringe of the light. Keep up the great work!!!

If you’re going to use lights on 12v get with Dakota lithium and get a 12v lithium. Great batteries and last longer than nihm
I have two Dakota LiFePO4 Lithiums in the 12v7Ah size for a custom-built, hand held super-light. They're fantastic batteries and have held up in -17c to 40c while in use without fail. I use the super light at work because I am an electrician and we need to turn off the room lights to work on them. Most of our new jobs involve converting old, inefficient light fixtures to LEDs. Whether inside a running walk in deep freeze or inside an uninsulated steam production plant, the batteries have worked. Hats off to them, a regular lead acid would simply not have been able to function with where I have taken that light.

Those lights are so cool. I love fishing for crappies. Never thought using those underwater lights before. Definitely, a must-have to try out this April. Any reason why blue and green? I will love for you to video more into using these lights more and try different colors and compare results.

I live in northern Michigan. My buddy and I do a lot of ice fishing. We've been seeing more and more guys using these out on the ice. Most of them tell us the lights attract the bait fish which bring in the perch and walleye. Doesn't really account for the bluegill and crappie unless you consider the small ones bait fish.
