So excited to be on November 30th to be able to go down the fantastic slopes of Saas-fee ! You're already making my mouth water.

Nice, Saas-Fee is one of the first ski resorts to open. Think I'll start my season there, some time in November, but I'm not exactly sure when... Enjoy your time :-)

Lovely. Sorry I’ve been off the grid for a few weeks. Dehydration, COVID, pneumonia, kidney problems, bowel blockage, vomiting blood, hallucinating, and three days in which I was much closer to death than a sense of humor should get.. Getting better and managed to sign the contracts with Disney for The Enemy Papers. Very happy to see that new video.

Hey Barry, glad to see you back and wow, they are some serious symptoms, so happy you are getting better! I'll have to spend some time familiarising with your books and movies. I probably watched Enemy Mine in my younger days as I was reallying into SciFi back then...

Could you make some videos about the Lenk-Adelboden ski area?

Let's see how it goes, I'm planning to do some big resorts this coming season...

Saas Fee is one of the best resorts for beginners according to several lists. But those reds would be way to much for me atm. Especially with the skis I was demoing yesterday, I'd end up either dead, or injured and then dead.
Note: All were generally to long for my height -168cm -, but the K2 Disruption 78 160cm was comfortable under foot, as sort of was the Santa Ana 87 161. Not buying skis for this season, will be renting first, buying for the 2026 season.

There are some long and wide beginner sections but you have to take a gondola and cablecar to get there, followed by a long button lift but I think it's all worthwhile... the glacier views are amazing. Sounds like a good plan to keep trialing skis... it's not much fun getting the wrong ones...

@@ChasingSnow Going by Crystal Ski the rentals - Bronze - maybe RTX Rossi and or Dynastars. And with luck I'll be renting silver Intermediate skis at Arc 2000. All-being-well getting my own in April, could be Forza 30 - Lee says Forza's are easy to turn -, or Volkl Peregrine XT for "ambitious beginners". We'll see.

@@Puzzoozoo Well, sounds like you've done some good research so think you'll make a good choice. I'm not familiar with those skis so can't really add much...

@@ChasingSnow FWIW Forza is Rossi's new range to replace their Disruption models, they start at 20 and go up to 70, the number indicates the degree angle from the vertical for carving the ski is designed for, 20 is for beginners, and 70 is for advanced skiers. Volkl's Peregrine is to replace their Deacon range, and start at Peregrine X for beginners and go upwards with the 72 for advanced skiers, similar to the Forza 70.
