"Our weathering decals weren't adapted from an aftermarket set. It was brand new art. And the rust ring was always present. We added a separate rust ring decal to our smooth saucer part pack. We didn't do the separate rust ring decal until we removed the grid lines from the saucer in the 2016 release." - Jamie Hood - Polar Lights / Round 2 Models.
"As far as the motors in MKA007, I think they changed along the way. There was a time when we discontinued it then brought it back out and a different supplier supplied the motors. Production runs on the item MKA 005 / MKA 007.. were low which meant it was hard to get them made and contributed to some of the QC problems." - Jamie Hood - Polar Lights / Round 2 Models.
