Its weird that people are finding about gatot now. I have been playing him before the thunderbelt update. I mostly played him as a roam and just build concentrated energy, rest all defense items. He can tank and deal so much dmg with just one magic item.
A cool trick with gato is that if you have a jawhead teammate then as soon as you begin to cast your ultimate jaw throws gato with his second skill. This interrupts gato ult and this can be used to zone enemies and waste their flicker without wasting gato ult. The timing needs to be perfect
As a new Gatot Main, Thunder Belt is the one makes me become a Gatot Main. He can Roam, EXP and even Jungle. I don't like Glowing Wand, I prefer Dominance Ice.
I agree bro, after the thunder belt revamp it makes him so much more sustain, durable, and offensive all at the same time while relying on his basic attack passive a really solid and durable tank. I even survived a 4v1 while buying time for my hyper to split push lol
Tips on gatotkaka If you're getting chased and there's nowhere to run just fight back as his passive can heal and deal massive damage the more you're attacked. This will either keep you alive till you teams arrive or you'll get 1 or 2 kills
I totally understand his strengths in the current meta, and with his pretty good starlight skin boosting his popularity and recognition to the hero pool plus I've been seeing his lately and his a pain in my ahh. Totally recommend using him but always be mindful of those true damage dealers.
Another tactic when using his ultimate is to zone enemies. I use his ultimate to trap/entrap enemies by ulting their escape paths and make them decide which path to take, your ult or your allies. It has better chances of knocking them airborne with his ult. Example: When the lord minion is about to push a tower, ult towards the enemies' base/escape path to catch them.

Gatot with Feather of Heaven item is so good man 3:21 also apart from Alpha and Xborg, you can actually fight Karrie pretty well because she's an attack speed reliant hero despite the true damage hence she's still on your counter list alongside Argus, Freya, and almost all mm's

Gatot is popular for 2 reasons: 1) He used to build Glowing wand, Dom ice and Thunderbelt as core items. Which now you can skip Dom ice and thunderbelt is better. 2) He's the best anti-Popol and Kupa jg in the game. You literally just dive in Kupa's face and he always dies no matter what

So i'll start yapping about some interesting information that could be useful Elegent gem could be his early game sustain item due to the regen and can be upgraded into COD which help give him more defense (not consistent so you can sell elegen gem in the mid game) Rose gold would be a nice spare item for item swap due to lifesteal and shield (only used for last resort, because winter is still better) Queens wings works pretty nice with his passive and can give him extra heal (extra dmg = more heal if you have and sort of lifesteal). Oracle works wonderfully thanks to the regen increase and hybrid defense (extra 40 dmg for thunder belt is a bonus)

Change your settings to closer target so that you can just immediately click your ult after using 2nd skill. With this, you can aim your 2nd skill to whoever is your target and use ult immediately with no delay. Instantly using your ult is important so that you can create a chain CC and prevent the enemy from escaping, although this might be countered by tough boots.
Thunderbelt, Concentrated Energy and Wings are my core items with him. Others are either Blade Armor, Oracle, Radiant Armor/Athena's Shield, Glowing Wand etc
I've also seen a lot of alucards recently all thanks to thunderbelt and demon queen's wings' revamp. Damage, sustain, he got them both. Most of the time I counter him with fredrinn (he's boring af but whatever)
Exp lane or jungle gato is a monster, but i started making sky piercer and it works perfect with his skills...and if someone plays Angela he is basically a 1 man army... Rush glowing Wand and sky piercer and just snowball your enemies easily... Not sure that i like his rise in popularity since he was always an open pick when i needed him, but lately enemies always pick or ban him...

I think its because it was initially popularized by Indonesian ex Proplayer RRQ Lemon using the magic build. And surprisingly, gatot is getting better because of the tank buff and nerfs on the defense item where all tank base defense is slighly incrased i guess. The emblem update also help him with his gameplay and performance and last but not least the thunderbelt update which benefits him the most.

Sky Piercer is a strong counter to Gatot. Also isn't Dominance Ice a better pick than Glowing Wand for lifebane? Dom Ice gives high armor which synergizes with Thunderbelt. Just sucks it doesn't give HP.
I think his Ult shadow should be like 'Small in the start and gradually becomes big till noticed' just like the size of a shadow of something falling on ground increases 😊

I’m a tank player and I’ve noticed tanks that can deal damage and clear waves and push turrets solo is key when trying to carry a team. My top 3 tanks to play are hylos, Belerick and gatotkaca. Unless I know I can depend on my team to deal damage I pick these three tanks to roam.
as soon as i knew about the new thunderbelt works like magic on hylos i ask my brother to use gatot with thunderbelt on exp and guess i was right his tankyness and high damage with thunderbelt is too good
For me Gatotkaca's real core item is Guardian Helment. I only build TB and CE when GH and Cursed Helmet is formed GH gives him sustain on the field w/o going back to base for recovery and CH for an effective wave clear.
I always used him with a magic build and literally just now I realized about the thunder belt since I used him with a full magic build. Now I have a good idea lol
I bought his starlight and I regretted it because i barely ever use him, but been playing him because of it and ive been winning all of them and his damage and tanky is insane, now im slowly feeling good that i bought it

I think making Gota's Ultimate skill width narrower and the distance of jumping shorter but with lesser delay would make it 80% more useful than now.

Sky Piercer is a strong counter to Gatot. Also isn't Dominance Ice a better pick than Glowing Wand for lifebane? Dom Ice gives high armor which synergizes with Thunderbelt. Just sucks it doesn't give HP.
I think his Ult shadow should be like 'Small in the start and gradually becomes big till noticed' just like the size of a shadow of something falling on ground increases 😊

I’m a tank player and I’ve noticed tanks that can deal damage and clear waves and push turrets solo is key when trying to carry a team. My top 3 tanks to play are hylos, Belerick and gatotkaca. Unless I know I can depend on my team to deal damage I pick these three tanks to roam.

as soon as i knew about the new thunderbelt works like magic on hylos i ask my brother to use gatot with thunderbelt on exp and guess i was right his tankyness and high damage with thunderbelt is too good

As a gatot user, enemy hylos pisses me off because of how slow my enhanced basic attack is when up against that damn horse so I'll just ban him. 😅
For me Gatotkaca's real core item is Guardian Helment. I only build TB and CE when GH and Cursed Helmet is formed GH gives him sustain on the field w/o going back to base for recovery and CH for an effective wave clear.

I bought his starlight and I regretted it because i barely ever use him, but been playing him because of it and ive been winning all of them and his damage and tanky is insane, now im slowly feeling good that i bought it
