Hi and thank you for the video my 2005 clk 500 was separating on the passenger side over the rear window like yours. I wanted to address it before it got worse. I didn't think about using clips like you did. It was genius and it worked perfect. My friend was like put glue in and put a weight on top of seam overnight. I was like ehhhhh thats not going to work. The clips were worked great. Only difference is I used the clear Rhino Ultra glue it said was flexible and saw other people use it but was for re attaching top to rear glass. I also bought the glue extender precision micro applicator tips on amazon. Buy them if you use the gorilla glue was like $5.00 and was no mess. We will see how it stands up and update you all. I should have done a video as well. It looks perfect now only issue will it stay bonded now. If the glue does not work will use the stormsure next time

Great video thanks my 2007 call needs this. Not sure about the first part. Was going to use permatex clear silicon sealant. Not sure how flexable it is. Hope it works

Ok Storm Sure did not stand up to our summer. I cleaned it out and used Locktite Super glue Power flex Gel . It was great as it grips as in 5 min. so far it is doing its job well..

Thanks but can you show how to do each step[ while you are doing it? How to put the clips in in the 2 steps, what kind of tape do you use for protecting the top from glue run off?
    Best and thanks again.

well, for your first video, I think you did well. It's too bad we couldn't hear your voice. btw How did the repair hold up, with that adhesive? I need to do a similar repair. Looks like you did a good job on the repair.

I had the same problem and used Goop Automotive glue. It appears to work very nice so far. I applied the glue to each side of the fabric, let it sit without letting the pieces touch for about 2 minutes and then stuck the two pieces together, just like you would if use contact cement. The clips are a good idea also.
