- We dropped into Vegas for a 3 day weekend to ride motorcycles in the local area which included the Hoover Dam, Death Valley, Valley of Fire and Route 66.
In this video we covered the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead to Valley of Fire loop on two Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycles. It was a spectacular day out in the desert!

The route I’ve planned for my trip is west on I-40 into Kingman then north to the Hoover Dam..GREAT VIDEO!!!

Ha, I agree with you. For that ride unfortunately the camera was mounted too low.
Great video, I’m going in 2 weeks and so glad I’ve seen someone do the same route as we’re planning! Any advice? And also was fuel stops on the route ok?
We didn’t have any issues with fuel stops that I remember. If the weather is going to be warm, I’ve actually recommend doing it in reverse and getting up early and getting to Valley of fire right is the sun is coming up. That’s when it’s at its best.
Or time it so you’re there at sunset.
