Christian Cage is pure GOLD as a heel! He deserves a run as the AEW Champion!
Doesnt need it. He has elevated that TNT Title to new levels.
He deserves to finally get his flowers in the biggest spotlight possible. This man was held back and underrated for so long. And having a run as the AEW Champion after his run with the TNT title is the least he deserves!@@Dazzer-gx3yl

Christian Cage is one of the best ever! He was held back so much in his career and there was a time where we didn't know if he'll ever wrestle again! Yet he's still one of the absolute best in the world on the mic and in the ring! He deserves a run as the AEW Champ! GOAT heel! 🐐

This was a great promo. Christian all these years was held back because he didn’t have Edge’s personality or style but it was because they couldn’t figure out how to play him right. Now on AEW Christian is a megastar and while yes I want to see them team up together idk if Christian is willing to drop his heel status to give fans that one more time dream match

How exactly is that WWE resume "held back"? By "held back" you also mean not a draw as a champion, right? Like it or not, this business is about money and apparently he didn't make enough money.
You want to see two 50 year old men team up, why? In hopes of recapturing some nostalgia? You're not going to get anything remotely close to Dudleys, Hardys, and Edge/Christian, so why even bother fantasizing about a subpar match? Don't get me wrong--I love both Edge and Christian but I'm not dumb enough to think it's 1999 and either could even come close to that.
Agreed...I think we will get it down the line when the right story is told. Right how he's locked in at the peak of his heel run, gonna help get Nick Wayne more over and then we will see. I want them to tag again as well but I would slow cook that for an even bigger pop later. No need to rush nostalgia that will always be there.
I still remember their rivalry for the WWE Intercontinental championship back in 2001.

"Edge" has always been the "star" of this tandem. He had the more successful solo career, but has gone stale over the past couple years, doing whatever he could to become relevant again, even taking Gangrels entrance gimick....and in turn, stealing HIS chance at a comeback. Christian finally has made it on his own and is thriving, and "Edge", ever the spotlight leech wants the Christian rub now.

In there career as a tag team in the WWE 20 year's ago edge always carried Christian , in the company of icons like Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger, Sting, the undertaker.
Edge was always a better character. Christian was always a better wrestler.

Christian is doing a reiteration of the Creepy Little Bastard Gimmick he had back in 2004. He's one of the only decent talents in AEW. Glad to see Edge vs Christian being the next big feud.
I don't really see them being the same. CLB/Captain Charisma was more a continuation of his former tag team persona; a kind of goofy, overly confident but still relatively personable heel. He's just a next level bad ass pos right now.
