Want big plays? Stop playing Trenton Irwin just because he's a "hard worker", and play the guy you used a top 100 pick on that already gave you a huge 40 yard play vs the SB champs. But what do I know. Nfl like all other pro sports is filled with nepotism so we'll likely see more TI unfortunately!

Trenton Irwin is a WR6 at best . A rotational 5 snap guy max !! Nothing more nothing less!! Burton should be getting 10 targets or more every game !! If he did he wld be putting up 100+ yards every week !!
What I'd like to know is how is it other teams with true number one receivers like us can get the star receiver the ball, but when it comes to us we get the excuse "they're doubling Chase." Is Chase the only star receiver in the league that gets doubled? Why can't our coaches get this guy open?

@@jasonzimmerer8658 All the top WR get schemed open. JJ isn't beating double teams every time he gets the ball. He has his coaches putting him in position so he's not being double teamed. It shouldn't be as easy as dropping into cover two to prevent Chase from getting the ball. I do agree with you on the $25 million DE. I think we have the WR here to be competitive even after Higgins is gone.

Absolutely no hate at all Tyler Boyd will always be an all time Bengal WR for me. That being said seeing him drop the ball at the end of the titans game didn’t make me miss him he same way I do Reader or Bates.

Offense needs to be more consistent/less sloppy, can't let commanders get up a little and control the game flow, especially with DT room depleted
You CANNOT trade Tee. Any tagged player can reject any proposed trade, highly unlikely that the Bengals would offer a trade to a situation that Tee would want to go.

I think they should really consider putting Brown as their starter for running, he's an explosive runner who is able to get a good set of yards most of his carries. They can't keep relying on just their TEs for their gains. They play with Burton was big, we need more of those like we did in 2021.

Yes Chase Brown needs to get the ball at least half as much as Moss. Moss looked fairly explosive too but Brown looked like he was being shot out of a cannon when he got the ball.
Until they can close out a game where they have a small lead of say three points or less with a close out touchdown their nothing.
I am agrivated that Chase Brown hasn't got more of the load at RB
We haven't had big plays consistently since the superbowl run. The next season we started the "get it out fast to protect Joe since our line sucks and defenses started playing 2-high. Apparently, Joe can't figure out 2-high.
What happened to throwing it up deep to Chase? Seems like we haven't tried it in a couple years!
Without Tee, any smart defensive coordinator is doubling Ja'Marr, having Tee back should make a huge difference
Bengals would've had one more explosive if Mike Gesieke doesn't drop that ball in the 4th quarter, bc he had room to turn up the sideline and get doem the field
Dax Hill has been great in coverage but his tackling has been poor. I don’t necessarily blame him though, he should’ve gotten more reps in preseason (which is a common theme of our team)

Chase really needs to get back to being a dominate WR. I'm sure no training camp has a negative effect, it always does, but how long until he gets up to full speed? Higgins needs to come back asap too bc the offense hasn't been good enough and we prolly 2-0 if Higgins didn't get hurt again

Where has battle been
I don’t get to watch them every week but fortunately/unfortunately the game vs KC was national. My biggest takeaway is that the Bengals look soft and they have no edge. And I can’t pinpoint a single thing that gives me that opinion. Watching good teams play, they look confident and you think damn they’re good. There wasn’t any point against KC where I felt that way about Cincy. Maybe the play calling is horrid, maybe the effort isn’t there…maybe both.
When Kris Jenkins gets better and is ready to play he is a beast against the run and will be able to stop other teams from running it down their throat. Mckinlley Jackson will be able to do that too. Next year BJ Hill will be gone. We should have kept Reader and signed him to a 2 year deal. Reader is making LESS than Sheldon Rankins is in Detroit. We could have kept DJ and saved money. Rankins and Reader are both 30 years old.
CTB slowed up on that route otherwise he likely stops that pass
In week 1 Dax Hill led the team in tackles. He had more tackles than anyone else on the fucking team. He missed a couple of tackles. The team had 13 missed tackles. 2 of those were missed by Dax. Dax was amazing in game 2 and good no game 1. In game 1 Logan Wilson was elite. I don’t know about game 2 I haven’t checked the numbers yet. He had a 92.5 grade by PFF. That’s higher than Fred Warner was in game 1. Also in game 1 guess which offensive lineman played the best. The best on the team and the best game in his life in the NFL so far. Cordell Volson. He graded out at 79.7 in his overall grade. That is waaaayyy above average. Everyone was at least average on the offensive line. Trent Brown had the worst game of his career and he still graded at 61.2 which is average. Orlando was better at 72.6 in game 1. Karras and Cappa were in the 60’s too for game 1. So the weakest link in that game turned out to be the strongest link. Volson.
They need to invest in Tee and Jamar and cut out all the extras. It just makes sense. - and sadly Football is becoming less and less fun to watch as a loyal fan for any team as its a matter of “cap space” chess- Teams cant keep the same personnel for more than 3 years. Not the players fault of course you can’t blame them for wanting to get their bag but keeping a solid team for years is over. And that’s why Trenton Irwin is “our guy”

We should have won that game. If Burrow hadn’t fumbled we win. If Anthony hadn’t commited 1 of those penalty’s we win. If he hadn’t commited the other penalty we probably win. If Evan hadn’t missed that extra point we go into overtime and potentially win. On the whole they all played great. Real good in fact. We need to run the ball with Chase Brown more. He was averaging almost double the YPA of Moss. Moss had 12 carry’s and Brown 4. It needs to be at least 8 and 8.

Our new TE guardian should not be Dajohn Anthony. It should be either Jordan Battle, Tycen Anderson, or Akeem Davis Gaither. They all have the size and speed to keep up with any TE in the league. Pratt can keep up with most TE’s too but we need him elsewhere. I think the Bengals at least until Jenkins and Jackson can play need to run a 4-3 with 3 linebackers on the field at all times. On heavy run teams like the Ravens I would put Njongmetta in and tell him whenever they hand the ball off your sole job it to stop the person running the ball.
That was something I just thought of. I know the games changed but would running a 4-3 defence with an additional linebacker be a good move?????
I blame the coaches for this lose. Plain and simple. Why? Because they put a rookie playing in his 1st or 2nd game ever in who commited a penalty that got DJ Turners interception erased and commited another penalty that put the Chiefs in field goal range on a 4th down play. Without that penalty we win the game. The Chiefs turn it over on downs and we win. Period. Why do they put Anthony in on those plays?? You had Jordan Battle and Tycen Anderson on the bench who could have taken those reps. They are more experienced. Tycen Anderson or Jordan Battle are the best candidates to guard Tight Ends. Why do I say that? Because they are both bigger stronger and faster than Anthony is. Anthony is 6’ 203 lbs. battle is 6’1’’ 206 and Anderson is 6’2’’ 210. Tycen Anderson is almost

Davis Gaither on TE’s. He is 6’2’’ 228 and runs 4.51 the same as Anthony. I like Anthony and think he will become a good player for us perhaps the next nickel CB after Hilton is gone although I think Newton is better and will

Andy Dalton deserves respect for what he did in cincinnati. Hes not Joe Burrow, but he belongs in the conversation with Anderson, Boomer, and Palmer. Great franchise QB 3rd or 4th best in franchise history. Ill always be a fan.
