Clever idea in using the laser!
Great idea using the laser pointer.
Oh my! Now I need a laser!🤣I'm heading to Home Depot tomorrow 🏎🏎🏎
Good morning Mr. Mark. I’m loving this fabric! Hope y’all have a wonderful day. God bless. 😀❤️
Your photographer is amazing!
I also have use tools from my tool box for sewing! Long before I had UA-cam! ROCK ON MARK!!!
Love your fabric and thank you off to getting into hubby's tools 😂😂😂
Laser level, genius
Seriously, I am looking forward to seeing the progress on this quilt. I know it's going to be ready nice.
Eager to see these blocks come together. Gorgeous material you selected.
Can't wait to see this quilt. I've missed seeing you. Glad you are back.
Glad you're back. I can't wait to see how these blocks turn out. I really enjoy your show and I keep you in my prayers and watch every show you have. Thanks so much for all you do!
Using a Laser Light is brilliant. I may have to go buy one. I learn new stuff from fellow quilters all the time. I can see using a laser for all my cutting.
So happy you are back!
Fussy cutting of sorts. The laser is a wonderful idea.
Love the laser level idea!!!!
Hi Mark and Yvonne! Great to "see" you both again. Love to you both. You and your fellow warriors are always in my prayers. Thanks for all you have done and continue to do for us!! Your sacrifice hasn't gone unnoticed ❤️
Love the print!!
I would choose that fabric too. And I like to see different tools in used.
Love the laser idea. Now I can borrow my husband’s tools!
Super beautiful fabric! Awesome idea to use the laser level. Gotta get one now. Lol I'm excited to follow along with this quilt. 😁
Thanks for sharing 👍🏿 😊
I have been working with hexies, too. I love them. This fabric is incredible. The quilt will be mind blowing. Not all experienced quilters know about lining up fabric, for precise, repeatable cuts. Everyone has gaps in their knowledge. You just keep on teaching.
Thank you. This is fun to watch yout method. Great tip lazer
Love the fabric and the use of the laser light. What a great idea.
I can’t wait to try your method!! Thanks. That is so cool!!
That fabric is so vibrant and beautiful! Cant wait to see the blocks!
Smart ideas!
Never thought to use a laser level from tool workshop. I have seen sewing machines with lasers but never used one for assisting with cutting fabric.
I have made a few kaleidoscope quilts and am always amazed by the results. The actual result is always a mystery and has never disappointed me. Great fabric choice. And instructions
I'm so excited you're doing this! I've been wanting to make one of these quilts. I'm hoping I find the time, but I'm so thankful you're back and so thankful you're authentic with your triumphs and tribulations! You and your family are an inspiration. Love the use of untraditional tools to help quilt!
Great video , I love the Lazer light idea .
Genius to use your laser for measuring!
I love the use of the laser level! - I maaaay have snapped a chalkline onto my fabric, when cutting wide material on the bias to make a costume for a friend. Good tools are always useful.
A chalk line! Genius!
Oh, l meant to add that l really think you are quite clever to be using your laser line! Thank you very much for sharing!
It’s going to be gorgeous !
Beautiful fabric choice ❤❤❤
Good to see you again! You make me think even I can do this! You make me feel confident and strong 💪🏾
You teach well.👍🏼👏
This is going to be awesome
THANK YOU FOR THIS. BEAUTIFUL FABRIC AND GREAT CUTTING.
Wow, that is precision cutting. Thanks for explaining why you're using the laser stripe to cut. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
Gorgeous fabric choice! You could have a lot of fun with borders in black, blue or any neon that is in the fabric. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Such pretty fabric its going to be outstanding Mark. Glad your ok. Hugs from UK
Love your method!! 🥰🥰
In process of doing one of these as well. I’ve decided to torment myself by placing a panel in the middle so it’s going to be a puzzle but I’m excited for the challenge.
That is absolutely beautiful fabric ! The quilt will be stunning 😍
I can see that you are enjoying this process. Being a Virgo, l am driven to be too picky and really work super hard at perfection in my quilts. I get tired of myself and my standards. I’m working on trying to lighten up as much as l can, so that l am able to enjoy the process more. When l get tired, l have no strength and stamina- must quit with a lot less done. I’m 75 and have fallen a few times and get viruses frequently. All l really want is to have fun with my beloved piecing and quilting, enjoying the process. Do you have any advice? *Side note: my dad was a Colonel who retired after 32 years of service. I married military.
I would like to suggest that you rip (or cut) your yardage down the center before making your cuts. It will give you better accuracy on the second half as printing can be slightly off across the width of fabric.
Fantastic Mark! I saw this fabric and thought the same idea. Just enough background, but a perfect amount of "in your face" color in the wings...my favorite 🙂❤️
I need a laser pointer!
The laser levelling devices that carpenters use are not expensive; that's what he has here, and it would be easier to set up.
Where did you order the larger cutting mat?
Too much unnecessary prep talk. Anyone watching or listening probably is not a novice quilter. I like the use of the laser work tool.
