Hi Mae, try the new essence mascara primer called Curl fixing (I only use a light coat since it's a little harder to remove). It's amazing & helps keep your lashes curled, no matter what mascara you put on. I use the Milani lash extensions with it & my straight Asian lashes stay curled all day. The lash extensions work better when it dries out a little, try it again in a few weeks.
A note about the double extend, the white end is not a primer. That is the tube, or extension. Lighter coats and focus on the ends adding light strokes to lengthen. You can lengthen the tube itself if you let the first coat dry a bit, then add the black. Add a lash curler and you’ve got extensions.
Thrive Lash Extensions is the best I've tried. I just bought the Elf hoping for a Thrive dupe, but my lashes fell immediately after application. I might try the Essence curl fixing base under it to see if it will hold the curl better because I liked the coverage and length the Elf gave.
I was utterly disappointed by the Milani one too. I actually returned it. It was wet for me too and weighed my lashes down. The L’Oréal one I also agree on that is was difficult to remove. The only other tubing mascara I tried was Tarte tartlette and it is decent. It is also wet but doesn’t weigh down as bad too me. I’ve had it for almost 3 months and still wet. I’m going to try Hemish a Korean brand that has a tubing mascara and also maybe the hourglass one
So thorough, thank you. You're very beautiful & so is your skin oily or not 💙. I don't wear make-up often but tried my moms L'Oreal panorama lifting something... It's in a gold tube, dunno if it's a turbing one but it always makes my mom's lashes look fantastic but my eyeballs were sooooo itchy & when I removed it, they were ok. So, I'm looking for something with similar results. I use Elf liner so perhaps the mascara won't cause me irritation
I love NO 7. It could be amazin. They’re known for having old products around or even selling knock offs. Mine builds easily. Is still dry enough it doesn’t make my lashes fall, and gives me good desperation! The only downside is I feel like the tube doesn’t last as long as others. I think because it starts drier, it dries out faster.
I actually really like the Loreal one but I don’t use the primer 🤷♀️ I just use the other one straight & it works great for me. But it is kinda pricey for drugstore at around $17 bucks or something so Im looking for something more affordable since its a staple makeup product I use up & replace every few months. Might try the Elf one. thanks for the vid! Ps. in my experience, most tubing mascaras aren’t made to be buildable. They set & dry so the 2nd coat will always go on sticky, & end up getting clumpy. If you want to build it up, you really need to work fast and do it while the first coat is still wet. The only tubing mascara I know of that was made to be buildable is not drugstore, its by Blinc, possibly the OG tubing mascara. It’s their volumizing one, and its idk how else to describe but fluffy. I guess they increased drying time? Idk. But i still found it more flakey. I preferred & love their OG, very wet formula. Its personal preference but I do prefer a wet formula, bc it helps separate the lashes to keep them super feathery and natural looking. Also with the Loreal one, I do like the idea of the using the primer alone to actually achieve a white lashes, like snow princess look. In winter it would be cool with some shimmery sparkly makeup, with crystals or snowflakes. I might have to do that just for fun. I also really like how cleanly the Loreal one removes. That’s part of the point of the product, is how easy & gentle it is to remove. I don’t want it to smear on my skin. If it feels harder to remove, it just takes more patience. I find warm water works easier than cool, & I give it a minute, i might also gently press and roll my lashes between my fingertips, and then just slide them right off. Also when I apply, I DRENCH my face with a mist so my skin is WET, it makes it glide on my lashes really smoothly, AND if any gets on my skin, one gentle swipe with my finger pad and it’s gone. It does not disturb the makeup underneath if the makeup just properly sets first. The other cool thing is in summer, its actually water resistant. If you splash your face or dunk your head but you don’t apply any pressure or try to remove them, they will stay on! They’ll stay on even if you gently pat yourself dry. Been using tubing mascara for years. Its the best. Never looked back.
I used to use the Boots 365 mascara, which was tubing and excellent, but they reformulated and it is bad now. I am using Thrive Cosmetics tubing mascara now and really like it (except for price). I tried Caliray tubing mascara and it was only OK and expensive. I tried the Loreal; I didn't like it. Thanks for the post.
Hi Mae! Thank you for this review! So, I only can use No 7 on my super oily eyelids, and this is what works best: apply the second coat right after the first one without letting the first dry. The same with the third coat if you’d like to. Gives me more volume without horrible clumping. If you let the first coat dry down, it WILL really dry, and the second coat will look horrible. I actually now can build it up pretty well. I guess because it is such a dry formula it stays well on my eyes. It’s really hard to find though so I am hoping for good results with the Elf one
The Elf is my favorite! It stays on forever for me and doesn’t flake.
Elf I love best out of all tubing mascaras. I’ve tried them all❤

Thanks for the recommendation! I just bought it 😊
Im so obsessed w the No 7 Stay Perfect. I wear it all the time and I find it so buildable. I’ve tried the L’Oréal two step which I hated.

Great reviews, what's your favorite eyelash curler?

The elf and L’Oréal ones are my two favorites I’ve worn. I remember loving the #7 one but it’s hard to find so never bought it again.

Try Sensai 38C mascara. They are absolutely the best. Even the price is a bit more than the drugstore ones.

i feel like what we like in mascaras is almost exactly the same so i love ur mascara reviews. i j subbed :)
I heard tubing performs better after a few weeks of being opened, they need to be dry up a bit. I just started exploring them.
Did you try
Dailism Smudge Stop Mascara the curling?

Thank you! I also have Asian lashes and this helps greatly. ❤
Is it better to use a lash tubing primer mascara as well? Blinc has one.
I've worn the Milani 3 times and got my eye infected 2 times out of 3😅
@@kim29817 oh no 😳
Such a handy review! Thank you!

Thanks Mae for sharing🌺🌺🌺
I found the elf was really dry. Maybe it was old. The Milani is my favorite after a couple weeks.
Hi, can you review thrill seeker rimmel?
Essence bye bye panda is truly not a tubing mascara and it smears . .
I bought it thinking it was a tubing mascara and I was so excited. Just to find out I hate the formula and it doesn’t actually tube off 😭
I think we could see it a bit in the video on the corner of her eye
Please let us know if you find the other no.7 mascara and saw a different result :)
