CAS challenge idea: give 3 or more sims the same aesthetic like for *EXAMPLE* goth or preppy pastel. but make them look as different as possible.
If my memory serves me right, shes done that in the past.

I will say there are some small differences that set the 3 apart, the twins, besides the very obvious style difference, Candy (I’m calling her that) has a little lip gap where we can see her teeth, while Ivy (Goth girl) has her red eyes so you’re more drawn to them. The last one, I’ll call her Sweets, looks like an older, more mature woman compared to Candy, like Candy grew older and her features became more defined. Anyway, that’s just my opinion, loved it!

Husband is not connecting with his children that he didn’t want so he throws himself into his work. Always out of the house and working late. Liv starts to get lonely and reaches out to an old friend from school. They start to get close and in a moment of weakness, Liv cheats. She cuts off the friend and becomes a housewife.

The first girl was my favourite. I wish in the future Clare does more soft girls and "bad boys". Its always the soft boys and mean/bad girl.

Skin details definitely change the face wayy more. When it was just different styles they looked the exact same in different clothes and makeup. Skin details made the face shape look different and less soft, which your sims usually fall into, even when trying to do a less soft aesthetic. I personally love when they are less soft. I love the soft sims too, just seen a lot of them. :D

Agreed! the face shape gets changed so much! Though maybe its cause my definition of different is in the face, since one person can pull off more than one styling. They just looked like the same person in a different aesthetic. Even identical twins have some differences, no?

I think in game especially styling makes sims a lot more different than their skin details even if I’m obsessed with them 🥲 these sims turned out so cuuute I always love your edgy sims! 🤍
the person that the gothic twin reminded you of was probably Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. \\ Also I was thinking of another challenge you could try: make two pairs of siblings and have the pair marry the other pair then try to make they're babies look completely different from eachother but still have to have major feature similar. And aren't allowed to look like they're parents at all. (Also one pair of twins (parent) have the same aesthetic but are also the opposite from the other pair of twins.) And you figure out the rest. Btw love ur content!!!
That's kind of funny because I was watching this video next to my dad, and my dad went to high school with Joan Jett. As soon as I saw the hair I said "Joan Jett!" And then showed it to him and he knew it too.
I think the styling makes them look very different, more so than just changing skin details. Especially in a game when you aren’t zoomed in on faces very often. But even up close they look different to me. I like both the dark and cute styles so it hard but I think the dark style is speaking more to me. Love all them
Styling definitely does more then the skin details. Also, I actually really liked the second "soft girl" more then the first one! All three of them are incredibly beautiful, though!!
The girl next door look is TOTALLY EMILIA JONES in Locke and key. LIKE THEY ARE THE SAME!!!!
Also I feel like the second version of the candy girl had more beautiful eyes, but the skin was better on the first version. So I guess I'd like to mix them.

I ADORE the twins. I rarely go that sweet and strawberry with my sims but i do like the style! Im also having the biggest crush on the rocker Carly. The last one is kinda creepy and her face is a bit of a mess but id say you did very good job with all of them!!
you should try to do the opposite version of this. What I mean by this is use different skin details but try to make it as similar as possible. :)
Idk if it's been done but I think a cool CAS challenge could be to try to create the same sim using A) just the game, B) maxis match CC, and C) alpha CC. I think it could be cool to see how similar u can get them using wildly different methods :)

I would love to see a random style challange. Have a wheel with a few styles for example grunge, rock, street, harajuku, cutsey, business, country, etc, and another wheel for colour theme if u want an added layer to the challege. Have 3 or 4 diiferent EA sims (or same) and one by one spin the wheels to see how you have to style them. It will be great to see the different styles as you interpret them but also how differnt the ea sims look.
Another cas challenge idea is have a wheel with different countries and try to design a sim to look like that nationality. Try and put nationalities that you havent tried before.

I think styling deffinitely has a bigger impact. My personal fav out of these sims is the third one ^w^ The last one had a more realistic feel
i like the rocker look, i think they look very different, at most they may be related but i still think that they look different enough from eachother. styling has such a huge effect
The skin details and the way you style them both make a difference, I personally love the first set you did the most, and I honestly kind of want to see these girls in your playthrough! Identical twins who are polar opposites would be so much fun! The edgy one is my personal favorite!

personally i think the sims with different skin details but the same styling look wayyyy more similar than the sims with the same skin details and different styles!! they look more like sisters than the same person where as #2 and #4 looked like they had completely different genetics but were trying their best to look like each other

It kinda looks like the two pink sims are best friends who dress up just like each other, and the first pink and the goth sims are the same sim who just dressed differently.

The 2nd is my favorite, I think the 2 look pretty different but the skin details definitely have a huge affect on how a sim looks. Styling has the most affect.
The fist one with the Strawberry dress is so cute!! Maybe you could do a strawberry shortcake inspired sim? You could also include her friends! I think you would do a wonderful job!💕

I absolutely love the soft pink look! For me the styling made the bigger difference, but the skin details also change the look a lot.

Def skin details! The first gave off modern bubblegum princess. The second’s face look like a bombshell in Marilyn Monroe’s time period. Very different vibes

This was such a cool challenge!!! I think the two pick ones look the most different though, they looked like two different people to me. The ones with two different aesthetics looked pretty similar, but not like they were the same person more like they were twins with different styles!!

I think I agree and girls A and B (same skin details but different style) look more similar than girls A and C (different skin details but same style). I think my brain still recognizes the similar structures in the first two girls even though the makeups different vs the first and third girls look like strangers that r dressed the same.
Styling definitely has a more immediate impact on sims (and characters as a whole) because styling communicates a lot of information all at once in a very clear way
Skin details has a more subtle impact, especially if you’re intending to make two unrelated characters. Like the first two with the same skin details, while yes looking like completely different sims due to the styling, as soon as you take a closer look they *look* related (which can be a good or bad thing with whether or not that was intended lol), but the last sim just looks like a completely separate person *cosplaying* as the original character

The two with the same skin details definitely look more similar. The other looks completely different probably because of how different the facial structure looks with different skin details.
I like the anime character look for Sims! Making them look more realistic makes me personally feel uncomfy, but I see the appeal to doing that haha! Just for my own gameplay, I prefer cartoony sims.

CAS Challenge Idea: Two sims who have everything exactly the same, except you change which swatch you use on each item and try to get them to look as different as possible.
Claire, I think there is a cas challenge and a build challenge you'd like!
1. Tik tok filters create my sim (same as the tiktok trend where it chooses your hair, makeup, and outfit with filters. There's even a personality one.) Draeyad uploaded it on tiktok if you want to see.
2. Then a build challenge is the coloring book challenge. You build an entire build in only white. Then you have to switch all the swatches like you are coloring it on like a coloring book. I believe I saw Syd Mac do it!
My first sims in my last legacy were identical twins styled differently (one was meant to be a mean girl and the other a more punk rock sort of delinquent vibe) and they never looked too similar but by the time they were both adults they looked so completely different as to almost not look identical, but when you really got down to their faces they were still exactly the same. It was pretty cool to see and not something I meant to find out at all lmao. Oh and it was all with just the game, no cc or anything
Styling is for sure more powerful than just skin details. I like Rocker Carly best, then Candy Carly #2 (mostly because I hadn’t seen those skin details before, I think - she looks cool, like the older sister of the first Candy Carly), then Candy Carly #1.
I mainly use Simbience Skins with the PYXIS facekit.
Also I think all the sims look different enough to work. But the two with the same Aesthetic look very similar

i think the 2 with same style diff skin details, look like friends who like dress the same for an event like a concert or a performance or something. and the 2 with the same sc diff styles look like twins who are really close, but always liked completely different things.
