As an Arsenal fan it’s hard not to feel sorry for him to a degree, in this moment, funnily enough, you see all the traits that made him the manager he is. That said, he has very much hitched his wagon to a club which, in my opinion, is guilty and deserving of historic punishment. He made his bed.
@@miniman2132 I don't understand why people keep using the injuries as a means of justifying City's poor form. Mourinho won the 2017 Europa League with as many injuries and Ancelotti won the UCL last season despite having TONS of injuries throughout the season, only losing a total of two matches, both against Atlético Madrid. It was pretty much certain that we will lose to liverpool since Tottenham but yesterdays game everyone predicted to win, but to throw it away like that in last 20mins made it even worse.
probably he will be fine ,i think he did it because of the way he was leading 3-0 then the team fell off and bottled it. if he was losing from the start like against sporting or spurs i dont think he would react this way.
He probably knows theres a good chance he will lose that game. Probably more focused on securing a good run against some lower level teams to get some confidence back and then see if Liverpool slip up at any point to get them back into the league. If not then they will focus on cup competitions. 4 in a row. Never been done. Now the herd crawling out. Stay humble, sheeple 😂😂
Twente 🤝 Feyenoord Grabbing a point in Manchester. I’m an Ajax fan but I cheer on all the Dutch clubs. And witnessing the comeback live was insane. That said, I am genuinely worried for Pep. On an individual level. Self chastising is not a good sign at all. As much as I want a different Premier League champion, at least for variation’s sake… Pep really doesn’t look okay. And it’s likely quite a lot of his players aren’t feeling too well either. I can imagine Gvardiol feeling particularly bad. I hope they’ll pick themselves up. On an private level, at least. I’m still mostly rooting against them for the sake of mixing things up a bit.
I actually think pep needs a break like klopp hes a very intense character like klopp but in a different kind of way. He has nothing left to prove at city hes won everything.
Really hope Pep gets the support he needs. Nobody is immune to a mental health crisis, even the most wealthy and successful in society. Even as a United fan, I’ve got nothing but respect for the man and wish him the best.
It’s not that deep. He’s just raging. Like saying Goldbrige needs help because he throws his controller playing fifa. Only difference it’s at a much higher level.

I'm not confident as a Liverpool fan on Sunday. Although we've been winning games and put ourselves in a strong position but if you look at the performances we haven't been that great in a lot of games. Just more clinical than the opposition or a good spell where we made it count.
I have a personality disorder and Self harm. However I am on the right medication and have had the right support from the NHS. Regardless if it was frustration you should not be & I know this sounds like irony coming from someone who deals with it themselves. The right message & I applaud Mr goldbridge 👏 Man city should have resources in house to help him with this issue.🙏 In fact all clubs should have this in house and they probably do alongside the medical staff.
Maybe he should have done what Klopp did and take a break, people questioned Klopp over his decision but maybe it was a a very very bright decision in hindsight
Pep out Players who have more level, lax defense, team at the end of the cycle, lack of finishing, the team must be rebuilt with young players who want to prove and win, this is what City must do
Utter nonsense. If he was suffering with mental health he wouldnt sign another 2 year deal would he? The fact of the matter is, Pep is not used to losing and cant handle it well and its reflected with Citys petulance on the pitch. He should have left in the summer or not signed a new contract if things were that bad
Saying that is as wrong as saying that he is mentally ill. Some illnesses lead to impulsive actions. Like signing a paper that someone puts in front of you or harming yourself. Again, not saying he has that, just wanted to explain this.
Pep’s starting to look like he did in his last season at Barca where he started to lose the plot after competing with Jose. He’s a great manager but he really can’t seem to handle losing that’s probably why he only manages one of the richest teams in each league.
Pep has always performed for the public, he knew this would be seen, it won’t scar, don’t think anybody has actually talked about the football game since
Great comments, Mark. Mental Health is no laughing matter and the man is clearly teetering. We all might laugh saying City are due a downfall but Pep is the football side of things and has never experienced form like this in his managerial career. He needs to step back, take a breath then go back in and meet it head on.
I don't think it's a crisis. A crisis is what happend to my team Liverpool when we can't win the league for 30 years or what's happened to man utd since fergie left. A crisis is what happend to villa getting relegated or Leeds. I'd call this a slump in form. We over exaggerate everything in football which is why I think half of everything said about football is bullshit.
This is ridiculous he was very obviously joking at the end of the press conference when he said that and and it’s quoted like it’s a dead serious statement
Some jokes have some truth in it, it's more than 0, so you should at least take it seriously instead of brushing it off. How many comedians have taken the permanent option yet everyone thought they were happy constantly making jokes
Firstly, well done, Goldbridge, for pointing this out. I've got a lot of respect for people who see this and not make fun of it. It could be nothing, but there's never going to be any harm in pointing this out 👏👏👏
I'm sorry but we, Liverpool, absolutely need to continue this humiliation. We have been robbed of at least 2 league titles by these oil merchants. This downfall MUST continue.
Oh please, let’s be honest. He is a very good manager but we have seen that without the right players he ain’t much better than any other manager. As we have seen during 16/17, 19/20 and now 24/25
Everyone can talk and speculate all they want, I feel that Pep misses Klopp, the one man that pushed him, the man that Pep used as a marker for how he performs and compares to. The new generation of managers just doesn't cut it for Pep in the way they see football, look at Slot, who has Liverpool playing in various different ways tactically to get results, Pep is not like that, he is like Klopp who has one way of playing, and its either that way or no other way, Pep might genuinely consider doing the same thing Klopp did, he is after all, getting on with age.
This why I have always said Pep is rated too highly. How many times did Alex Ferguson rebuild? Pep always walks into resources and getting things his way
Mark, while you are right about the seriousness of PEP saying he wants to harm himself, the last thing the Premier league needs is man city to fight back and make a title run or even challenge. A premier league needs man city to flounder and then to be relegated to the national league if they have any hope of being taken seriously with these charges
We laughed at ETH for 2 seasons, Pep had 5 losses and might still win the league. I think he'll be fine, i have seen seen him falling down the sideline after City concede 1 goal.
I saw the post-match interview and thought something is not quite right. Pep did look really stressed and agitated, the scratches on his head, on his nose, and the constant rubbing of his nose. Rivalry aside, I hope ManCity provides him with a proper mental health and well being support, he really does need it at mo!
How many of you lots spoke about mental health of previous Man United managers? ETH faced worst, from the media, players, fans and so on. And he's the only one having a mental breakdown.😢 Anyways, wish him recovery.
Ngl as a Liverpool fan, I'm kinda scared of that match. I mean it is actually more pressure on us because we can go far clear and we could be the one to bottle it. Also you could say were playing a "worse" side so losing would make it worse and leave the door open for city. Finally, you always know your going to get a battle whenever they play and city still are a quality side let's not forget and they will look to make a statement.
Yeah, they can keep blaming their losses on not having rodri, their defence is absolutely shambolic, and none of their players seem to be playing seriously
I'm thinking that the 115 is really significant. Many of the players know that they might be leaving at the end of the season and their efforts this season might come to nothing if there's a points deduction. That's got to have a big effect on the mentality, hasn't it? Remember when Liverpool lost 6 home games in a row in early 2021? Klopp got through that ok but like you said, Pep hasn't been in situations like that before.
This will be character building for Pep. He's had more success than most others in the game, he needs to learn how to deal with failure and come through it.
This is where real coaching starts for Pep. It’s easy to do it when you have generational talents and the money of a nation state to spend. But how about when the chips are down. Let’s see what he does with best player out, 9 players over the age of 30, a huge rebuild and hopefully a transfer ban on top. Let’s see if he can actually call himself a coach in the end! 😂
Even as a fellow Man City hater, I can't feel happy at Pep claiming to hurt himself as a result of this string of bad form. Pep is clearly a perfectionist at heart and may feel he hasn't lived up to his responsibilities or that some things are just out of his control and feels frustrated to put it lightly. I hope he recovers from this or takes a break. The game without these rivalries just isn't the same.
Glad that fans of all allegiances are (mostly) treating this with tact and respect. Even if his club is shady af, nobody wants to see the manager hurting himself on the touchline, issues like this are bigger than the game. Hope he's got the support he needs, whilst I hope City keeps losing, I hope Pep becomes able to deal with losing in a more healthy way.

@@miniman2132 he's always had a ridiculous talented side to manage, now he doesn't and it shows that he actually sucks as a manager
@@MetalDude-s1c this is a very basic and cynical opinion.
Injuries are not an excuse and we've had managers still pull off amazing seasons despite them.
@@Kuromori-v9z firstly, i said injuries and an ageing squad. Secondly, what you call excuses, i call context.
If you think a team should lose the best DM in the world and keep the same levels of performance then there’s nothing to discuss here, is there? It’s an absurd opinion.
Liverpool in past years have collapsed because Van Dijk was injured. Arsenal of a few years back collapsed because of a Saliba injury, and weren’t the same team without Odegaard this season. Suggesting otherwise is nonsense.
Finally a relevant and unbiased video from this guy

Genuinely hope he isn't !!

@Shadow-sx8ni Like the respect he has for fair play !!

Maybe Klopp really was making him a better manager as he said. Since he left Pep hasn't been the same and he should at least take a break too. Nothing is more precious than your mental health even if you have all the money in the world.
Imagine what Pep will do after he doesn't win against Liverpool.
It was pretty much certain that we will lose to liverpool since Tottenham
but yesterdays game everyone predicted to win, but to throw it away like that in last 20mins made it even worse.
probably he will be fine ,i think he did it because of the way he was leading 3-0 then the team fell off and bottled it. if he was losing from the start like against sporting or spurs i dont think he would react this way.
Probably quit
Quit hopefully
He probably knows theres a good chance he will lose that game. Probably more focused on securing a good run against some lower level teams to get some confidence back and then see if Liverpool slip up at any point to get them back into the league. If not then they will focus on cup competitions.
4 in a row. Never been done. Now the herd crawling out. Stay humble, sheeple 😂😂
Twente 🤝 Feyenoord
Grabbing a point in Manchester.
His first language isn't English. I think he was just saying that he had done it to himself, that he hurt himself. Not that it's self harm.
Hurting yourself is self harm 🤦♂️
Maybe English isn't yours,as well e😂
Every language when it says like, did it to myself bla bla ,means necessarily that... It s self harm😂

@@GiddyGiddyGoshvery good point. Its ridiculous that someone actually make a video about this. Disappointed by Mark for jumping on this vagon. He surely must see that Pep isnt suffering mentally

The right message & I applaud Mr goldbridge 👏 Man city should have resources in house to help him with this issue.🙏 In fact all clubs should have this in house and they probably do alongside the medical staff.
thats good to hear
Respect. I couldn't believe what I was reading when the news broke. You're the only voice I've heard that has raised the concerns I had
Maybe he should have done what Klopp did and take a break, people questioned Klopp over his decision but maybe it was a a very very bright decision in hindsight
He's used to winning. Let him get used to losing. It's part of life. This is a mere blip in his successful career.
4:31 bro doesn't want Man city dominance yet still don't want liverpool to win the league the hate is mad blud😂
got no choice 😂
@mohamedalryah-nj8yn gotta change that narrative😭😭
I'm a bit like that. I'd rather not see Liverpool win the league but I'd hugely prefer it over Arsenal.
Well said Mark. Great for addressing it.
Pep out Players who have more level, lax defense, team at the end of the cycle, lack of finishing, the team must be rebuilt with young players who want to prove and win, this is what City must do
No its the defence the problem
A team that has won 5+ league titles must be rebuilt because they're second. My god. hahahahahah
But dramatic. No ones perfect and they just come off 4 in a row. Bound to happen
Fantastic opening message Mark.
Sheikh probably had a gun to his head.
Sad to see man 😢
Edit: I support Liverpool but Pep is still human. To see a man this stressed is heavy 🤷🏻♂️
NO IT ISNT HAHAHAHA
Edit:NO IT ISNT HAHAHAHA
Pep struggle a lot with defeats. When Jose got to his head in Spain and won the title beating pep revords Pep left football for a year for depression
How is it sad? Pep has been cheating and ruining football for millions for years.
It’s hilarious
Pep is a nice guy and a perfectionist. The pressure is immense at City. Hope he is ok.
They don’t have the fan base to back them in roughness. It’s apparent in Etihad.
Same average attendance as LFC mate.
Half your fans don’t even speak English
Mark is always on point. Love the bit in the beginning about actual self harm. Class act. Appreciate it lad ❤
Pep has always performed for the public, he knew this would be seen, it won’t scar, don’t think anybody has actually talked about the football game since
Pep didnt have those marks on his face right after the game.
Respect to you for the mental health comments. Big up Mark!!
Mark actually saying he wants City to bounce back and put up a fight against Liverpool shows how bad its going for Man City ngl
He needs support and it doesn't matter how well-off or famous he is, he needs help and care. This is a crazy amount of pressure for one person.
This is ridiculous he was very obviously joking at the end of the press conference when he said that and and it’s quoted like it’s a dead serious statement
Its about even saying it to begin with, joke or not.
Welcome to 2024
So what happend ?
Some jokes have some truth in it, it's more than 0, so you should at least take it seriously instead of brushing it off. How many comedians have taken the permanent option yet everyone thought they were happy constantly making jokes
Open your eyes and stop doubting everything for no reason.
Killerpool 😂😂😂😂
No thank you; I refuse to sit through another episode of this strip club
Robbed , no mate you didn’t win enough games, ask a grown up to explain it to you
@davidcoomber4050 if you could point me towards one I'll ask them then 👍
Oh please, let’s be honest.
Pep always walks into resources and getting things his way
Klopp Laughing all day long
Maybe not ! He knew when to quit.
As a Liverpool fan, I am glad for Man City's downfall. YNWA! ❤
Mark, while you are right about the seriousness of PEP saying he wants to harm himself, the last thing the Premier league needs is man city to fight back and make a title run or even challenge.
A premier league needs man city to flounder and then to be relegated to the national league if they have any hope of being taken seriously with these charges
Despite City losing, they're still ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea in league table, what a shame
Harming yourself because of a few defeats 😬
it's usually more than what it seems on the surface
Always said pep is the joker and klopp is Batman. Pep needs klopp like the joker needs Batman.

That's not going to happen cos without the finances behind him,he's crap!!🤪👹

Thank you for highlighting the importance of mental health care. Class act as always Mark.
And he's the only one having a mental breakdown.😢
Anyways, wish him recovery.
Rodri ain't an excuse the amount of money on players in that city team and then to bottle 3-0 is mind blowing
Yeah, they can keep blaming their losses on not having rodri, their defence is absolutely shambolic, and none of their players seem to be playing seriously
Well spoken Mark
I'm thinking that the 115 is really significant. Many of the players know that they might be leaving at the end of the season and their efforts this season might come to nothing if there's a points deduction. That's got to have a big effect on the mentality, hasn't it?
Remember when Liverpool lost 6 home games in a row in early 2021? Klopp got through that ok but like you said, Pep hasn't been in situations like that before.
Mark absence of rodri makes no sense they had still won the league without him in the past they still have gundogan and kovacic
😂😂😂😂 pep playing mind games with the media is just wild you really think a successful wise man will harm him self and u haven't 😂😂😂😂
actually shut up you don't know what it's like to hate your life or to feel nothing but despair every day
as a Liverpool fan i Miss tenhag already
Decent of Mark to actually take that self harm comment seriously. No one should mock pep for this
I've been waiting for this.
I can't wait for this City vs Liverpool game KEKW
Its understandable the way pep is feeling. The stress and pressure come with his job. Especially for a club like MC that have a lot of expectation.
