Michelin is a French multinational tyre manufacturing company based in Clermont-Ferrand in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes région of France. It is the largest tyre manufacturer in the world before Bridgestone and larger than both Goodyear and Continental. Michelin's numerous inventions include the removable tyre, the pneurail (a tyre for rubber-tyred metros) and the radial tyre. In 1889 two brothers, Édouard Michelin and André Michelin, ran a rubber factory in Clermont-Ferrand, France. One day, a cyclist whose pneumatic tyre needed repair turned up at the factory. The tyre was glued to the rim, and it took over three hours to remove and repair the tyre, which then needed to be left overnight to dry. The next day, Édouard Michelin took the repaired bicycle into the factory yard to test. After only a few hundred metres, the tyre failed. Despite the setback, Édouard was enthusiastic about the pneumatic tyre, and he and his brother worked on creating their own version, one that did not need to be glued to the rim. Michelin was incorporated on 28 May 1889. In 1891 Michelin took out its first patent for a removable pneumatic tyre which was used by Charles Terront to win the world's first long-distance cycle race, the 1891 Paris-Brest-Paris.
Michelin manufactures tyres for space shuttles, aircraft, automobiles, heavy equipment, motorcycles, and bicycles. In 2012, the Group produced 166 million tyres at 69 facilities located in 18 countries

I always use Good year tyres. Wheel balancing is very very important part of your maintenance schedule. Please do this every 10k kms when you rotate all your 5 tyres. Always replace all your 5 tyres at one time. This will maintain the true balance of your car. Unbalanced wheels are the main cause of all the rattles that develop over a period of time. It is also the cause of major accident when driving at high speeds because it become more difficult to handle the car at those speeds.

Michelin tyres are not recommended for Indian roads as Michelin tyres are made of soft rubber due to which wear and tear is more and life is less rather Yokohama and Bridgestone tyres are recommended for Indian roads

@@abhijitverna I have seen a lot of side wall problems with Michelin. Roads condition are very good these days but Michelin’s do not fare very well on pot hole ridden roads. That’s when the side walls give way.

Specially मेरे दोस्त के ecosport के टायटॅनियम प्लस व्हेरिएंट मे बहोत बार दिक्कत आई थी । बाद मे फोर्ड ने 60 प्रोफाइल के tyre ही देना समजदारी समझा।
अभि मेरे aspire के 55 profile tyre जब अचानक से ब्रोकेन रोड पे धडकते है तो बडा डर लागता है।
Aspire मे 55 के जगह 60 प्रोफाइल के tyre लगवा शकते है क्या??
होंडा ने 65 प्रोफाइल अमेज मे दे कर इंडियन कंडिशन्स को अची तरह समज कर बहोत समजदारी की है।
