But they couldn't come to unanimous decision and finally Leharu Chiccha conveyed Mountbtton to take decision about the date. So Mountbatten decleared 15 th August, 1947 15th August is the same date on which Japan surrendered, and Bharat got independence Is it just a coincidence?
