For probability per gate, my first thought (involving a non-MN module; sorry!) was to send the x gate to Mutable Branches, and use the y channel to control probability cv in Branches.
That would be a great way to do it! I didn't know there was a dedicated probability module. Another way would be to modulate a random voltage via VCA with the Y-CV output (as done on Ch1 of modDemix in the video), offset it downward and use it to open an AND gate with the X-Gate at the other input. Something like this is probably what happens internally in the Branches module.
Edit: I meant Z-CV! I don't have a Rene yet, but it's coming in the mail tomorrow so I'm just blasting through all your videos tonight. Hear me out: couldn't you maybe do gate probability using state sequencing on the Z-axis? Copy/paste a sequence across 16 states (or 64 if you use all banks) and then mesh program a batch of them. If you were to set a particular step in half of the states to gate off (0% probability) and half of the states to gate on (100% probability), 50% probability could be achieved by sending some random voltage into the Z-CV input. Increase the number of states that have this step gating on or off to increase or decrease the probability anywhere from 0/64 chance to 64/64 chance? You could probably even self-patch the other Rene channel to pass in your Z-CV voltage based on whatever snake pattern its running. I could be way off base on this though?
Great idea! Yes you could absolutely do this. Probably with Z-CV rather than Z-MOD. In fact most anything that can be done within a State/patching on Rene could alternatively be implemented as an internal sequence on the Z Axis.

@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC I found out that if I engage sleepmode and lets say have access enabled on all 16 steps, then I can skip steps that arent gate enabled. But on a regular ADSR I need a very short decay/release for the note to get skipped perfectly. Hope this makes sense -:) Can I have notes with long decay/release without the next non gate enabled note playing?
For this you would either set the next note to the same value so that it doesn't change notes during the decay, or, while Sleep is turned on, turn off Access to the step you want silenced. Does that help?
When Rene added ties to the gate I felt bad for asking for probability because Rene has so, so much going for it already....but am i dreaming?

Yes!! I’ve done this! One of my favorite patches. You can use the gates from other Rene channels to set which gates you want to be 100% probability.
Great idea for using the other channels!
If you have a coin toss module like a marbles it is much easier to use the Y controls as a bias towards the probability per gate
