Thanks! Cape Town looks beautiful, LGBTQAI+ friendly. I bet the nude beach was fun, although a hike, reminding me of Black's Beach in San Diego. You showed nightlife and some decent restaurants. Yet no shopping. I have an acquaintance and Facebook friend, who lives there. I met him through my church.
Wow - haven't been to Cape Town for about 15 years but all the memories came flooding back, such a beautiful country. Instantly hit the subscribe button, going to watch all your vids!
These nonsense things were done for money, the youth is in trouble because of this bad broadcast and this disgrace must end, marriage is between a man and a woman, the family is broken, please let's be conscientious and react
@Runbbbbbyyyt - Thank you for watching our fabulous gay content. There is a place in this world for everybody for sure, but kindly take your negativity elsewhere and have a fabulous day! 💅 🏳️🌈 🦄 👬 ❤️
Only you should be ashamed. Instead of being closed minded, get to know them, embrace them, love them. You will learn it’s not a choice. Don’t miss out and regret your decisions at the end of your life. Love is love my friend. 🌈 ❤️👬🙌

Lifelong Capetonian here so I'm abut biased. But as a frequent traveler to other countries as a tourist, i will say that Cape Town is still one of the best cities to visit. And talk about value for money if you earn your salary in euros, dollars or pounds. On this gay guide, i would def also add Honey & Dora (another gay restaurant), Crew Bar (Disco) and Zero 21 (A drag bar / disco). For those with a naughty streak, try out Shaft (sauna / bath house). That said. Great and informative video. Just subscribed and look forward to watching your other videos to learn more about gay places in other countries.
Thank you so much! Super helpful for our next trip and fellow subscribers 🌈 Honey and Dora was across from where we stayed. It’s super cute! Thanks again for sharing. We absolutely love CPT 🙌 ❤️

Beautiful city as I recall from my visit there a number of years back. It’s curious that I didn’t observe any black or colored peoples at any of the venues you visited. Are there places they go as well?
Yes, gorgeous city! We found people from all counties and races at Pink Candy and at the beaches. Less so at some of the pricier venues as most likely cater mostly to foreigners. We met plenty of Europeans but less locals for sure. Hopefully, that will continue to change over time.
Pink Candy definitely had more white patrons went I went there, but Zer021 (gay nightclub/drag club) is always packed with people of all shades, but mostly darker skinned!
You took the uphill hike from Sandy Bay? That’s a hectic 10 - 20 minute hike heading over to Hout Bay! We live in the houses at the top of that sand dune but would rather jump in the car and drive around to the other entrance on the Sandy Bay side which is waaaayy much easier! 😂😂😂😂PS: thanks for the great video!
Great video! However, I'm surprised you didn't go to Zer021, a more diverse gay club with many shades of people. A totally different experience of Cape Town’s night life. Do try it if you come again next time!❤
Good to know! The reviews and location led us to skip it with so many amazing options within walking distance of our accommodations. We’ll have to give it a try next time. We love Cape Town and can’t wait to come back for hopefully 1-3 months next time! Thanks for sharing!! 🙏🌈❤️
@@TwoGayExpats Awesome! If I am here when you come through again, I will be more than happy to take you there! I live in Cape Town and Oslo, so it would be a timing thing! 🙂
This is a wonderful video. I enjoy your travel guides. However, in this video of Cape Town, I don't see any Black LGBT folks in any of the backgrounds of the gay venues. What gives?
Thank you so much! And we did see representation across the spectrum at Sandy Bay, the mostly gay nude beach. And at Manhattan Bar. But like many places, there’s always work to be done for equality within the community. Thanks again 🙏❤️🌍🏳️🌈
I spent a lot of time in Cape Town in the late 90s and early 200s. Always had a great time. But I understand the country is in serious trouble and crime is terrible now
@@TwoGayExpats oh I’m absolutely not comparing the two! Cities in the United States are absolutely falling apart post pandemic! It’s all a real disgrace, and unbelievably sad. I just saw on UA-cam that a restaurant in Oakland that I really liked, just closed because crime has gotten so bad that it’s scared away the customers. San Francisco looks like a ghost town. Last time I was in New York City, I had to walk around a junkie shooting up meth on the platform for the 2nd avenue subway. Strange times
oh my gosh we completely agree. We met in SF and had to leave! So sad. Portland is like you describe ccwhich is devastating. We must admit, we love our life in Mexico, but of course, no place is perfect. Thanks again for commenting and safe travels! ❤
HIV prevention programs are working and the rate of infection is reducing thankfully, but to your point, still too high everywhere. Hoping for continued education and progress in South Africa and around the world 🙏🙏
Understood. But we can assure you the media is not to be trusted. We find the U.S. much less safe than many of the places we travel especially when you stay in tourist-friendly areas like de Waterkant.
Instead of just checking out gay clubs, bars, and nude beaches for the young it would be nice to hear about any actual gay "community" that exists in different places if in fact there are any. There used to be gay community back before AIDs but now everything seems to be quick Grindr hook ups and over 40 and you are out as being gay now is really just a sexual preference for the young.
Thanks for the feedback! If you go to the places we recommend like Manhattan or Beefcakes and speak to the performers or patrons, you will learn about the community. For example, Kitty de la Renza told us some amazing and inspiring stories about herself and gay Cape Town! Highly recommend.
Are there any gay bars locals go to that aren’t on our list? We met plenty of locals that said these are the only and best options 🌈🕺🪩❤️ and the two gay beaches we highlight are free 🙌
lol .. I think your pink goggles are a little blurry .. gay scene in Cape Town is crap .. ten years ago it was fantastic .. the only good thing is probably third beach in the summer.. sadly cape town is a sea of bottoms only , not many decent men to go round .. the best guys stay at home
We think this video proves our pink goggles are crystal clear, thank you! Sandy Bay and 3rd are great gay beaches, and we met lots of great people, local and travelers, some frequent to CPT. If not CPT, what gay travel destination meets your expectations?
Yay! My country... Thank God you had an amazing experience! Loved this video! Indeed worthwhile travel information! 🍷🍽🏖
Our pleasure! Thank you!!! 🙏
Thank you for your great reviews... Hope you had a great time in here in CT. Love from the Mother City, Cape Town ❤❤❤
Our pleasure and we definitely did! Can’t wait to return for even longer stay next time!! 🙌
Cape town is so beautiful. That tiramisu looked divine!
We agree! One of our favorite places! Hope we can spend a few months there next time!!
Great video, saved me hours trying to figure it all out on websites!

Love it! That’s a good one 🙌
Lions head is not a gay hike. Its for everyone.
They didn’t ask for your pink card to access the public trail? Come on! It’s gay popular, but of course, it’s for everyone! 🌈
clifton is amazing for sure but at times its crowded by teens since most parties are held there so be careful whenever it's crowded
Thanks for sharing! One more reason to get to Sandy Bay 🍑

Is it ASIAN friendly?!.
Yes, we met a fun Asian guy from London at the Pink Candy, and he loves coming to Cape Town! 🏳️🌈
I’m from Cape Town.. it is a clique city,, but in general, over here everyone is most welcome.
Yes!
South Africa is friendly to all races !
Where did y’all stay in De Waterkant? We just booked a stay in the area and briefly looked like you might have stayed where we booked
We booked an airbnb in a modern boutique building with a rooftop pool 🤩 There are lots of great options in the area! 🙏❤️🏳️🌈

Rainbow nation?
Nickname for S.A. given its diversity of people and cultures. Google it!
Zer021 is a popular gay/drag nightclub that I frequent and it is always packed, with white people being in the minority. It's a pity they missed it!

My (Trai) last trip was mid-2000s and it seemed way nicer and safer to me in De Waterkant! We find many US cities feel dangerous 😬

The Waterkant or De Waterkant NOT both! Otherwise you are saying THE THE Waterkant.
Thanks for the clarification. Like ATM Machine 😂
The beach may be nice, but the sharks are not so nice.
