Did they just say that those Lawsuits helped Van Der Roh? How on Earth? This house isn't even the prime example of this design, that would be Villa Tugendhat in Brno, Czech Republic which is one of the few houses on UNESCO's protected list. It is open to the public for visits but you have to book months in advance because of the long waiting list.

I'm really surprised they didn't mention one of the owners, Lord Palumbo who famously bought the property.
They almost didn't mention the architect and another building Villa Tugendhat that shares this design.
