    The plant's development is so impressive, as is the development of your video making. I look forward to catching up on your recent videos which I've not been able to watch yet. For now, and most importantly, I hope that you are feeling better, dear comrade!!!

    Brilliant, thank you very much. Im going to sprinkle some vermicast on my Red King Ixora. If your plant is just a few thin sticks because it's a cutting or a new plant should you still prune it back for a bushier plant?

    The video is great. Unfortunately, it assumes that the plants are in pots. All of my ixooras are in flower beds in my front yard flower beds. The pruning aspect I can still due on my plants. So what about tips for more blooms for plants that are in the ground.

      I would try...but from seeds, it's already bit late :-( The seeds take too much time at the early stage. But considering, they keep blooming till April, I can give it a try..

    • @GardeningUpbeat

      For the plants which are in ground, there is actually nothing much to do. You can just prune them in Feb-March once and fertilize them. Using any organic (such as cow dung compost, home-made or even vermicompost) would be more than enough. It's imp to prune them at least once...that way, we can get more flowers. Good luck :-)

    Absolutely beautiful. Nice video with frequent updates. Please help me with my dwarf Ixora plant. All it’s leaves are dry and brown. What do I do?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  Рік тому +1

      Thank you So much :-) Dwarf Ixora - Hmm, whatever symptoms you are referring is too common when the soil is not acidic enough. This symptoms is quite frequently seen on Dwarf Ixora (specially on Yellow one). Plus, it also depends on the time of the year. For example, in Summer they usually look good. But, leaves start to dry out and start to brown in Winter. To fix this, we would need to repot the plant once and apply other components to soil (like Aluminum Sulfate or any other that make the soil acidic). I would try to do a video very soon with updates as I also need to fix one of my Dwarf Ixora plants which is facing the same..

      @@GardeningUpbeat I have repotted it and added bone meal, tea leaves, cow dung and magnesium (I used an effervescent tablet) to acidify the soil. Will get some mustard cake powder and add that next week. Will look forward to your video on dwarf ixora.

    • @GardeningUpbeat

      This is almost the end of flowering time as they bloom well in Summer. Winter is about to start and I believe, you can start growing Winter flowering plants. Here is a video of 50 such plants that can be grown from seeds - ua-cam.com/video/2bhIJ9MI2so/v-deo.html
      For Ixora, you can prepare them in the next year at the end of Feb and you can do the same like me. That time, I would also try to provide more ways to get more flowers in Ixora..Good luck!

      @sgayathri7180, Look like Aphids and quite commonly seen on buds. Unfortunately, Neem oil doesn't work. You can use Imida 100ML(IMIDACLOPRID 30.5% SC), Exodus Plant Protector (Organic), Rogor (Chemical), Roket (Chemical) etc. Available on Amazon..Good luck!
