I was covering an English class this year, and they were studying this play... the teacher's book was open to this scene! I couldn't stop laughing for oh, about 5 minutes XD
Aww man! Poor Vic! I can sympathize! One time, my highschool was doing a children's play, and the Techies decided to play pranks on us during the second show; they put tripwires in doorframes, they rubbed glue on handles, poured soapy water on the stage, lit up spotlights with different colors and pointed them off cue, and told us the director said she wanted us to change some blocking which threw us off. Well, once us actors caught on, we pulled through all right! But there was hell to pay!
One time I was in a school play, and there where some bleachers out to the side. I was over there with my friends, and we are doing this little dance to a song. I noticed that the bleachers where wobbling, and soon after the whole thing collapsed. They had to stop the play for a few minutes.
O_O How weird is it that I'm reading The Crucible in my english class right now...? And now I'm watching this video about Vic's bad soup experience! XD I don't know of we read that part yet, so I'll keep my eyes peeled and think of Vic!
That's nothing! My school always has three performances for the show, sometimes four depending on the play. Anyway, the final performance is INSANE, we always have really funny shit and mistakes we put in there on purpose. LAST year, we did the Wizard of Oz, and at the end, when the whole thing is staged in black and white, Geoff who played the scarecrow, came out in bright rainbow boxers!!! It was HILARIOUS!!! He finished the play, curtain call and all, that way!!!
Holy Crap the same thing happened to see on some level-I played Willard/Herrick in my HS's production of Crucible and I was supposed to be drunk onstage and the Prop folks thought it funny to fill the bottle with water mixed with hot Taco Bell sauce. I genuinely grimaced onstage, and I thank them for that lol.
our drama teacher always kept telling us to check our props. he almost had a bad stint if he didn't check. XD oh, vic. you should always check your props! ^_^
Once in one of my school plays back in high school, there's this scene where everyone does a toast with wine, which was obviously switched out for sparkling cider, but during a pick-up rehearsal, as a joke, someone put dish soap in the sparkling cider, so everyone who took a swig had the funniest looks on their faces! But, as true actors, they worked through it! XD Sorry, his story just reminded me of that! XD
our tech crew hid all of our shoes for our musical The beauty and the beast. soooooooooo EVERYBODY was barefoot for two shows. even the beast it was soooo funny. until our director caught them
omg!!! i was in the Crucible when my school had that production two years ago!!! but i wasnt Proctor...i was Abby? i think that was her name...wow im kinda slow XD
I did a scene from that play! It was a few years ago and it was only one scene so I don't remember much. I think I was Abigail though. This was funny though!
ROFL Poor Vic. XD it's okay. One time, I was stuck in a wheelchair because of my knee problem, and I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, and I wheeled right into a wall and flew forward to faceplant into it. In front of my entire school.
I love The Crucible. I really want to play Abigail, cuz she's so mean. Haha. I figured that he'd play Procter. Procter is one of my all time favorite characters!
It's all good. I once got hit in the nose during a curtain call and everyone noticed! And once the set fell during the night they were filming it. While the other's were trying to hold it back up I was just standing there going o_O Haha, I love this guy XD
ugh i remember that play :( i mean don't get me wrong its a good play its that i always got stuck being elizabeth in the play and a kid i hated got to be procter :(
in a lewis and clark muscal i was an indain and as we sneak on the stage as they where siging opening song and i was beerfeet i steped on a turned up tac that was holding down the green paper an i hopped to the middle of the stage and stat down as the light was put on my group of singers lol plus i kept hitting the person front of me with the beeds dangling from my bacelet
lol yeah but it was college, he was probably a crazy, hot college boy, he probably did that to people too, but that's okay cause now he is a kind, talented, professional and very good looking sweet, Vic. XD
