Omg. "These older guys". "The guy on the drums". I'm just... OMG, I'm speechless.
What a bizarre review, you don't know who the "old guy's" are (founding members of Queen) and think they inserted a guitar solo (it was in the original) just for Adam to have a break, the guy who tours with them and sings one of the hardest music catalogues for 2 + hours night after night, tour after tour for the last eight years. Guess you aren't a Queen or Adam fan really judging by that. And he still hits the high notes he did years ago no problem.
Oh my god... I wanted to write the exact same thing. Very baffling the things he said and if I'm correct - I don't even want to go back to the terrible clip to see if I'm right or not - he said "I know Queen"... um... WOW! I believe it's quite ok or even sometimes innocently funny to be unfamiliar with people's work or even not liking them - a matter of taste actually - but the level of ignorance and irrelevancy in this video from a "professional" person was just cringy.

I won’t watch this again either Adam is the best and this song was part is the best so I agree with all the comments on here about how weird this review is. I do not like this review at all. The senior citizens are QUEEEN...Roger Taylor on drums, Brian May on Guitar....or again QUEEN.
Hes the perfect fit for Queen camp, over the top, outstanding vocals but also very humble. Brian and Roger have/had 2 of the best vocalists on the planet as Frontmen. Queens Legacy will forever be cemented as the best band/live act on earth.

Adam sings the Queen catalog in the original key which even Freddie had a tough time with, Adam hits those high notes live show after show, night after night, week after week, month after month, year after year (2014-2020) that not even Freddie could do consistently, professional vocal coaches have sung Adam’s praises and described his technical prowess, Rami Malek did not sing in the movie and if you are referring to Marc Martel, Brian has said publicly that MM was not used for the Bohemian Rhapsody movie, Roger Taylor is the original drummer of Queen and sings backup and lead on some songs, Brian May is the original lead guitarist of Queen and generally sings backup, Roger, Brian, and Spike Edney who performed with Freddie have marveled about how good Adam is - the quality of his voice, technique, performances, what a professional he is, and how they enjoy performing with him, other top performers, journalists, and TV/radio show hosts have all commented what a truly nice guy Adam is, Adam lends his support to charitable causes and joined a fundraiser for now President-elect Joe Biden. I know it’s a lot but fans just hate it when someone doesn’t do a bit of research before they “react”.

Well can't believe I heard this.... It's the original Queen members... Roger Taylor and Brian May.... That aside Adam has gotten even better than when he was on American Idol and that's a fact, he was great then and he's a freaking vocal genius now. If you really want to see what he can do now, watch him perform Who Wants To Live Forever from Isle Of Wight Festival and Whole Lotta Love both with Queen. Then u will see what he can do if this didn't convince you enough. This man sings the entire Queen catalog night after night for the past what... 9 years now when he tours with them... His solo stuff is absolutely stellar too. Everyone has their opinions... But I have to say sir respectfully I did not agree with your comments. Adam is absolutely amazing, even his newest rendition of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas just performed a week ago. He is like a fine wine and just gets better with age and I can't be the only one to think that, I know his entire fan base and beyond would agree.
They played the song exactly as it was written, they didn't add the guitar solo's for the purpose of letting Adam rest, that's just the song as originally composed. The guitar player and drummer aren't just a couple of old guys, that's Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen, do your homework.

1) Adam is fantastic- no he’s not Freddie but he has never ever pretended to be him - he shows him the upmost respect at every opportunity
2) the original members of Queen are technically senior citizens but OMG how can you not recognise them and their absolute superiority!! They are beyond superb - no words for how fantastic they are!!
What's with all the ageist comments?! And that nonsense about losing voice with age? Adam is in hus late 30, aka his vocal peak.He soynds way better than he did 10 years ago, he sings in a slightly lower register but that's it. This is him performing one song of a two hour set of one of the most demanding musical catalogs in rock history. Also, the song was written by "the senior citizen" Brian May, the guitarist. He didn't alter a 30 year old and add a guitar solo song so old Adam can rest his voice😑 .. How can you be a musician when you don't even know Queen?! And you keep saying you're a fa' but you don't even know what show he was on or the fact that he has been touring with Queen for the last 8 years??
same with the guitar solos it's not for Adam to catch his breath its part of the song that being said Brian loves to show off a bit with that red special, but let's be honest if we could play the guitar like Brian we would prolly show off too.

I am trying to understand your comments on Adams voice but its just nonsensical-you want him to just hit high notes all the time? Adam actually has gotten better with age and he has said he has learned that yes he can hit the notes but he has learned you don't have to do that all the time, that its not all about "oh look what I can do". Also, the guitar solos are part of the song, its not so Adam can get a break on his voice. But speaking of this performance, this was done as part of a more than 2hr set list that they perform night after night on tour. The Queen catalog is one of the most demanding vocally and this song is usually in the middle to later portion of the set list so the fact that Adam can hit these notes night after night is quite impressive, something Brian May(the guitarist and one of the founding members of Queen) has said Freddie couldn't even do.
I am happy to hear that. His excessive high notes a decade ago was why he was an acquired taste for me. I have enjoyed his work with queen the last few years though. And his performance at the Kennedy honours center.

I've watched this review several times as this is my all time favorite Queen song, and Adam just kills it every time. As others have said, I don't know how one could be living on this Earth and watching a singer who sings live with Queen, and not realize that the "two old guys," are the two original Queen members, and that world famous guitarist BRIAN MAY ,who wrote the song, is playing the two solos in his song because they fit there, and most Queen fans like to hear him play. To suggest that Brian is playing because Adam needed a break is just ludicrous. I finally had to chime in. Next time, please do your homework!
I take this review as a bad joke. Not knowing original members of Queen, not knowing what Adam does these days and talking that he was the beast and is not now - he still is - but it takes to take you ass to his concert or the concert of Queen + Adam Lambert.
While i'm nowhere near a Queen fanatic, even I know the band members. You are talking about them like they were two random seniors off the street. They ARE Queen. Queen wasn't Freddie alone. Freddie Mercury had never been a solo act. Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon were just as integral parts of the band as Freddie was. I understand you like Adam, he is absolutely phenomenal, but talking about two rock Gods as if they were a pair of nobodies is straight up disrespectful. I have no idea why you didn't recognize them considering they are one of the biggest rock band of all time and they've been around since the '70s. In my humble opinion, you should research the band/artist you want to review before you actually record your videos, because you came across as very, very ignorant and most likely made many Queen fans angry. This is a sure-fire way to not gain any new subscribers or even lose the old ones.

And the original song when FREDDY MERCURY sang it had the same guitar solo's in it, which is BRIAN MAY by the way and Santa is ROGER TAYLOR, the original members of queen. Never heard of Queen with Freddie Mercury? Maybe you should go listen to the original before you say this was not Adam’s best. He is singing the music the way it was intended.
You can't say you know Queen, then not know who Brian May or Roger Taylor are. Comments about seniors are rude and insulting - those "seniors" are original Queen members. There's so much you say that's offensive. BTW "the guy who sang in the movie Bohemian Rhapsody" wasn't one guy. It was mostly Freddie with a mix of the Rami Malik (the actor) and Marc Martel (the imitator who sounds like Freddie). "Martel is heard, not seen, in Bohemian Rhapsody. For the film's performance sequences, the vocals are a blend of the late Freddie Mercury’s (using master recordings), Martel’s, and actor Rami Malek’s." And, no you shouldn't do comparison with Adam because Marc only sounds like Freddie, and can't do much else. His live performances are just plain awful. Adam doesn't try to, never will, and Queen don't want him to imitate Freddie. His voice is fantastic, and combine that with his performance ability, there's no one better.

couldntve said it better! it always bothered me when ppl said "queen should play with marc matel" like...both brian and roger AND adam always said, from the very beginning, theres no sense in doing all that with someone who is just trying to saound as much like freddie as possible. like whats the point. its great for something like the borhap movie of course, but like imagine how werid that be for brian and roger, to play and tour with someone who is trying to be their dead friend :/
I remember Brian and one of the movie producers saying Martel was not used and never asked. Perhaps I am wrong.

Brian and Roger are rock royalty and I've seen Adam sing practically nonstop for an hour and a half and then belt difficult encores, during his solo tours.
You say you know Queen. Yet you didn't know who ( The senior citizens ) were. LOL The old folks were. Brian May, Legendary Queen guitarist, & astrophysicist, & Roger Taylor, Queen's Drummer. Each of them are responsible for writing some of Queen's biggest hits. As well as the backing vocals on all the songs.

What a weird reaction,the old dudes are the original Queen,they reformed only when they had the vocalist to match Freddies vocals,and how on earth do you not know who Brian May is he musical royalty and a musical genius, the mind boggles on that one ?
I am one of the people who said this song should be reviewed. And it's because this is amazing in so many different levels musically-wise that I just thought you would get it. I have watched his videos from American idol a thousand times and I surely know what he can do. But hitting high notes is not the only thing that makes an amazing musician and performer. I'm not shocked you didn't like it so much since you are referring to two of the biggest legends on the music industry as "these older guys". There's no way you'd be able to understand everything that is going on in this performance, the feeling, the power from the lyrics, him hitting the notes on the original key it was written by Brian (something that not even Freddie did)... Well, all in all, this was such a big disappointment. I thought about suggesting something else, but at this point, there's no point. I mean, it's just... Well, let's leave it be.
@Jeanette Kejling Plus, there's a lot of prowess here as well. The way Adam approaches the notes, the little nuances of it, they convey so much emotion... He hit insanely high notes at the right moment and conducts the rest of the song perfectly in order to make you feel its meaning! The fact that this is completely disregarded here is just... Absurd! This guy only cares about high notes, which is absolutely ridiculous. And he feels the need to mock things for unbelievable reasons. What is the point of saying that some of his viewers don't know their fave artist? That they don't know what they are talking about? I mean, dude. He obviously is not familiar with Glamberts and how loyal we are! We don’t take criticism of Adam lightly. He needs to watch The Show Must Go On; The Queen and Adam LambertStory on Netflix.
Queen plays for 2 hours every night they are performing. Adam Lambert took voice lessons for years so he knows how not to strain his voice. Watch a full show on UA-cam. The reason Adam takes breaks is to change his clothes. He does like an outfit change. Queen is still playing strong. Adam Lambert is still a beast. Watch him sing Who Wants to Live Forever at The Isle of Wight, Believe for Cher at The Kennedy Center Awards, his songs Closer to You or Ghost Town. There's always a post of him singing live on Zoom or at a show and being posted. He will be doing a few solo shows next month and then back to Europe to tour with Queen this summer. I'm positive there's going to be a lot of videos posted.
You have no idea... Adam sings 2h non-stop in that strong voice. You are absolutely not qualified to say his name let alone judge his voice. His voice is absolutely amazing and trust, he takes great care of it. You don't know anything about Adam Lambert - he is still the best. If you really knew him and loved him, you should listen to all his new stuff.

You must watch documentary "The Show Must Go on, the Queen and Adam Lambert Story" to better understand this collaboration. It's on Netfix. Adam is the best and he respects Queen and Freddy Mercury.
The guitar player and the drummer are from the original QUEEN band. From the original Band the vocalist is dead (Freddy) and the bass player (John Deacon) retired when Freddy died.
Just to give you some insight the drummer (Roger Taylor) made most of the high falsetto notes in Bohemian Rapsody. The guitar player (Brian May) made his own guitar and has a Phd in astrophisics. They were unique but now due to the age obviously they only play on special ocasions.

I think Deacon Fully retired in 97 after the last song they created "No One But You" but he still has a part in the band. One of the reasons they added the + was because he wanted it to be Queen plus said person as to not replace Freddie and so far, they have done a damn good job. Deacy might not be around and i do miss him but he'll always be remembererd by the songs he wrote/co-wrote :) whenever they play it live. Fun Fact Neal their bassist now is a massive Deacon fan!

Not bothering after this there are some great vocal coach's and reactions,that actual respect the artists involved I would be embarrassed to hell after this poor showing, I very rarely down vote but this getting a thumbs down ;(
Drummer/singer is in his 70's, guitarist/singer is also in his 70's. They are the original Queen bandmates. The guitar solos have always been in their shows. Don't make fun of people. Adam still has it. Go to one of his concerts and you won't be so quick to criticize.

As you like special performances you should check "Unforgettable Day" the Gakku performance by Dimash to hear someone singing off the piano live (a D8). Sorry to talk about this on an Adam Lambert reaction.

Brian May one of the greatest guitarists around. Roger Taylor who sings better than 80% of the singers out there. Don't forget John Deacon. As a big music guy, I can't believe you called Brian and Roger "The" old guys. You might be on with the guitar solos but for me, it's Brian May. You have multiple solos because of who he is. You kind of disappointed me a bit not knowing who Queen is. Love your reaction videos but please do better.

@teguh febrian Dimash sings that song, but destroys its meaning and spirit. It's a rock ballad, not a sickly sweet pop ballad. It needs intensity and power over guitars, not piano.. and he screeches off pitch near the end...it's really not smth to put up proudly against Adam Lambert singing it live in a 2 h concert. ☺️
@teguh febrian he can't outperform Lambert because he doesn't have his artistry and interpretation. He'll learn maybe and then we'll talk again.
@teguh febrian nope. Lambert is the best singer. Dimash has range but no genre versatility and style. He only knows operatic pop. Sorry to break your bubble. ☺️
P.S: especially in this song dimash loses. His sweet pop ballad with his off pitch screeching near the end is really not up to Lambert's rocking and powerful ballad.. and he has sung this so many times. Bye now.
Adam sang on tour with Queen, the guitarist was of course Brian May. If you want to hear the Ultimate Vocal performance of "The Show Must Go On" Dimash Kudaibergen Kills it with an incredible finale. As it was 3 years ago when he couldn't speak English his pronusiation wasn't great then. However he hits notes that other singers can only dream of. Mr Harris I'd Love to see you react to it. 😃🏴👍

Maybe you should listen to Dimash's rendition to this amazing song. I believe it's so good that it makes Freddie really happy up there. Besides that, Adam is doing a great job and Queen is my favorite band. That said Dr. May and Roger Taylor are both geniuses. I just wish we still had Mr. Mercury and John Deacon on that stage.
He also had a poor review of Dimash when he first listening in to him, but when he listened to another performance he was amazed, it seems like it's the same with Adam.

I feel nostlagic moment when seeing Adam Lambert, I was one of his big fan, when he stepped in that competition until...someone steals my attention from him, but I still like him anyway, but not as much as before.
