Agreed. The future of our culture, it is bred within the younger generations! I graduated a year before this, and metal was hardly this acceptable at my school, but nowadays it's much more woven into the fabric of that school! I suspect due to things like this, and as I said, talented teens like this are what keep metal alive. METAL WILL NEVER DIE!!!! P.S. To the vocalist, I've never heard anyone cover Death in Fire that well. Period. Make a living off your voice bud!
DETHdressedInRED I tried to take it places. But every band around here plays hard core. Not my style. I'm just free floating for now. One day I'll catch a break. No one is interested in death metal around Vancouver that needs a Vocalist
@@SexualAssaultRifle hey dude. This is riverside secondary school in Canada, not riverside USA. Riverside (usa) does have a metal scene, check with Facebook groups, craigslist ads lookin for musicians, and talk to people at local shows!
Although he did forget some of the lyrics, that was still way more intense than anything that went down at my high school. All the members were very good and played it spot on, and the growling sounded pretty professional.
C'mon guys they are covering AMON AMARTH here! Very few can, even professionals! Yes the singer was a bit off can you blame him? I never heard anyone beat the Amon Amarth lead singer live. All in all, outstanding performance for "kids!" Also good this kind of music still happens in youth talent shows. Keep the Metal alive! \m/ Respect
Agreed. They are far more rehearsed & practiced than I was at thay age. it was precise but it was effective. much love to those guys. hope they are still playing metal.

To be honest this video made me check out Amon Amarth and now I'm a huge fan. You guys are good as fuck. You probably made a few people shit their pants in fear tho.
bob joe I know! they were great in 2014 with Skeletonwitch and Enslaved. always a good show. something about European Metal bands that American Bands can't touch unless they're Slipknot or Lamb of God or Devin Townsend or Between The Buried And Me. the live shows are just ... different, I can't really explain it. Children of Bodom, In Flames, Arch Enemy ... there's an articulated intensity to most Euro metal acts a lot of bands from the US and Canada clearly lack live.
Even without a second bass drum this was badass! People that are criticizing are most likely sitting in their basements with guitar heros. Nicely done!
If you sound this fantastic in high school you're going to sound epic by time you leave!! This guy has amazing vocals - the other band members do a great job too
holy fucking shit that was a fantastic cover. blew my mind. would've love to see this live. Instruments were on point, vocalist knew what he was doing. Also can never go wrong with Amon Amarth.
Great job guys, my band Severed Fate covered this track years ago in our first show, it's not a simple track to pull off, from one vocalist to another, excellent job brother. -Rich
Sing from your diaphragm and avoid using your throat. Only to control pitch and tone. Try mimicking a style so get your sound right and then toy with what you feel comfortable with.
My first band covered this track for our first few shows, it's not an incredibly easy track to cover so I definitely give you guys props for the attempt. There are a few noticeable timing errors and the guitarist gets a little messy on a few measures, with that said the vocals are Fucking excellent and mad on point, from one vocalist to another, you owned that track brother, keep up the good work guys, you sounded great, hope you guys won that talent show.
So we were looking at some of the covers that Amon Amarth has done (balls to the wall, aerials, etc) and came across this...I was totally expecting it to be terrible, so I clicked for a "those poor guys tried so hard" laugh, but it turns out you fucking rocked it. n/ Hope you'll be in the pit at Ozzfest meets Knotfest!
I don't seem the need to explain my self to some random guy on the internet if you find it offending then I am sorry and not looking at some ramdon person's profile picture would surely help
Holy shit! You got some bad ass vocals! Age of Sword! Age of spear!!! Fight for honor GLORY DEATH IN FIRE!!! Wish i had metalheads in my high school as a teen =/
that's a talented ass young vocalist
VoidOfEnigmas Thank you!

Legend has it
Dang this kid can scream amazing and the guitarist dang
He can scream but no growl
I searched up "high school metal bands" expecting to find some horrible covers. But instead I found the opposite. Good job.
Literally the same cx

Awesome drummer and vocalist for kids. Lead guitarist held it down as well. Fucking great for a talent show.
Totally agreed
The whole band is playing slightly too fast.
qpeormtvjr a majority of musicians play faster live.
Yeah much like people doing speeches faster than they intended I suppose.
Your voice is amazing.

If these dudes didn't win first place, I am committing suicide.
We came second! The people that came first were a very talented group of musicians. Well deserved. 4 violins 3 guitars.
