Max Martin, Loving, Texas, owns and operates the Jx ranch 13,000 acres cow-calf-stocker calf operation. He shifted to no-till and cover crop forage in 2014.
He deploys commercial black and red angus cows, using Charolais bulls ranked in the top 15% of weight related genetics.
The ranch has two calving seasons, one using winter Triticale forage and the other using summer cover crop forage.
Max’s hobbies are building lakes on the ranch and breeding/raising quarter horses.
