  • It is not the " Kaptajn Nielsen" quite a few kms away actually
About 30 ft down on some structure where we have been getting some live bait, nice Estuary Cod, Large Mouth Nannygai and Longtail Tuna.
Some really nice fish down there especially the Blackspot Tuskfish my favourite eating fish.
The Red Emperor was a surprise too.

How cool does that juvenile red look! You didn't even need bait on this drop mate that wreak was full of life.

You should've seen it before it was totally butchered because of imbeciles wanting to walk over the rusted plating, used to be a pretty secure small boat achorage before it was bastardized

That will give you a very rough idea what's there

The types of fish in my place on the border between Singapore and Indonesia, fish that have black and white stripes we call them kerong fish and those who have yellow and blue lines we call them lin ching fish are very annoying they only eat away at the bait and the taste of the meat is very bad 😂😂

The wrecks near Tangalooma were all old ex Dept of Harbours and Marine dredges and work vessels that were scuttled there to create a small vessel refuge and as a result of stupid people climbing over the rusting hulks the government had all the super structures cut off as a so called safety measure but now in rough conditions the big seas roll over the wrecks, this is probably a small part of one of the wrecks

this is on the other side of the shipping channel west of tangalooma. And yes in a westerly its hell now on a big tide inside the wrecks.

@@barracod If you look very carefully in the bottom right hand corner, appears to be a hemp rope securing cut hand rails off the old hulks,[ THAT'S MY GUESS] there's an artificial reef just slightly north of here and there is a terrific photo of a Chinook helicopter flying an old Brisbane stripped tram to be dropped on the reef

@@dashaB-sl4pu someone did tell me what it was years ago when we were fishing it, it was a barge or something I can't remember tho. It was way before they chopped the tops off the wrecks at Tangalooma. Ive drifted with the camera over it and there is a fair bit there scattered around.

On the western side of the Tangalooma wewecks about 80-100 yards but there is a very formidable current that flows rhrough there, you could swim at the top and bottom of the tides, have done numerous times but these days there is a lot of heavy boating traffic and barges
