Yeah Anthony's delivery is an acquired taste. His jokes are hilarious and super dark but i think most people are use to animated comedians who keep the energy up. As to where Anthony delivers his jokes in a very mellow manner.
Someone once pointed out something that I wholeheartedly agree with regarding Anthony's delivery: it takes a lot of courage and faith in your material to deliver jokes as slowly as he does, especially given how dark the jokes are. There is a LOT of space between the jokes, and most comics can't deal with that. They'd rather rapid fire one-liners because it's safer. If a joke flops, no biggie, they're already onto the next one. Anthony's delivery doesn't allow for that.
I would say that it's probably a mistake to try to jump into Jeselnik with a "best of" compilation. Like Bill Burr, you have to hear him enough to know how to take him.
We call this, deadpan humor
I don't think it's acquired honestly, you either get it or you don't for the most part.
I find people who are concerned with what other people think of them for what they laugh at won't usually warm up to this brand of comedy.
This man is demented. Love his brand of comedy.

His style definitely isn't for everyone but personally I think he's a genius joke writer. Hid dead-pan delivery is great. But if you're not into dark comedy he's probably not for you. In reality he's a sweet and genuine guy.

AJ is one of my favorite comedians
There's two types of people when it comes to Anthony,
His gimmick is taking you on a journey then hitting a massive right turn to dark town. People like or hate him based on how they feel about the wtf he just say mentality. People who think the wtf is weird hate him. People who love wtf find him to be their favorite comedian. I've seen reaction channels did laughing.
Jeselnik is all about subverting expectation. Don't take anything he says at face value, his grandma has died like 20 times, it's all a matter of making statements, and then curve-balling whatever comes next. Most comedians are story-tellers, for example someone like Gabriel Iglesias tells stories of what really happened to him, on his travels etc. When Anthony opens with a statement about something that happened to him - it's not true per se, instead it's pure verbal subversion - pure play with words, language, expectation, psychology etc (as well as very, very dark humor)
Give it time. He's the Prince of Dark Comedy.

I wanted to suggest Anthony Jeselnik but I wasn't sure you would be cool with him, he is dark but I love it personally.
I feel like it's not even that she doesn't like his comedy, but it's probably the fact that some of these jokes flew over her head..... Jeselnik is an "acquired taste" and that kinda taste needs to be first understood, THEN you can fully enjoy it...... if you don't get what he's trying to do with his comedy, then you cannot enjoy it...... like that "civil rights" joke...... he's basically making fun of racism/racists by saying something SO OVERLY racist, that you KNOW that nobody would say something like that publicly out loud and seriously meant it :D:D he's obviously just trying to "tease" everyone who gets easily offended by that shit..... and THAT'S exactly what makes it so funny :D:D:D

His comedy is all about the twist ending. He tells extremely dark jokes, or very obvious jokes, and then has a twist at the end to give an "OH!!!" laugh. Definitely not for everyone. I still liked the reaction

Lol hey Jashara, I called it at the beginning of the video! I’ve seen a lot of Anthony Jeselnik and know exactly what his comedy is about, so when the video started, I said “she is not going to finish watching it lol”
And when you said he looked kinda cute, I was thinking maybe I was wrong.
All of his comedy is delivered in a similar way. It’s very smart but shockingly horrific.
He’s one of my favorite comedians but I recommend to not watch it if very negative comedy bothers you.

I would say don’t react if you think some topics are off limits. That’s what his show is to get u to laugh at something very dark and bad.

No offense, but I don’t think you understood a lot of his jokes. He’s different, he sets up his jokes differently than other comedians. He’s dark but you have to keep in mind he’s joking, and some of his jokes are next level.

Anthony Jeselnik isn't for everyone honestly. He can be too dark for some people and his pace is a bit slower than other comedians which causes some viewers to lose focus on the joke.

It's funny seeing her get all offended and acting like he's trash or not funny at all. When the truth is she just doesn't understand it. Kind of glad this is the first of her videos I've seen so I know I probably won't get much out of any of her others
Trust me, you wouldn't want to watch her other videos because she is like that, it seems like everything offends her. I'm about to Unsubscribe from her channel cause at first I had subscribed after watching one of her videos but I think that was about it, all the other ones are just her getting serious/offended by the littlest thing.

I wouldn't she say can't can take a joke, some of the jokes were simply not that funny. It was a hit or miss for me as well. He needs to work on his delivery and storytelling a bit more.

Even with her last reaction to bill burr: No Means No, she didn't look like she got what he was trying to say and just completely gave her half assed input. I feel like she honestly doesn't take these videos serious and just treats it as another form of instagram where she gets attention. Had to unsubscribe cos I'm honestly not enjoying her content anymore.
