You so right on Skibas raspy voice on Good Mourning. To me its one of the defining elements of the album.Especially on the last song 'Blue in the face' Can you believe some people don't like the record for Skibas voice!! He sounds more frail/human/real to me, that is.
Honestly, Good Mourning is probably the best Trio record. It's a perfect snapshot of where they had been and where they were going as a band, and the first two songs on it are also probably the two most iconic Trio songs. There's probably no song that captures the real spirit of Alkaline Trio better than "We've Had Enough."
Infirmary will always be a special record, for me. Private Eye was the first trio song that I heard and left me wanting more. I bought infirmary the very next day and then all of their previous stuff. I've been buying trio stff as it comes out ever since, even all the split CDs!
Been a hardcore Alk3 fan for many, many years. For me, I'd probably say Infirmary is tops, closely followed by Catch Fire and Crimson. Of course, they've never written a bad record, so who knows?
@@skunk9511 i guess calling alk 3 punk pop makes more sense as theyre more punk than pop, but still have pop elements. Unlike blink 182 or green day where the pop elements outweigh the punk elements, for the most part
For me it’s gotta be: 1. Crimson 2. From here to infirmary 3. Goddamnit 4. Good mourning 5. Damnesia 6. Agony&Irony, This Addiction, Remains ------good albums ^ ----Bad album ⬇️ 7. My shame is true Lmfao
I've got Agony and Irony at the 5, but otherwise this is exactly it. Notably I *want* to say Infirmary is my fav, but it's not actually. Crimson is the album I've listened to the most over the years.
Dan was the only one who didn’t say that agony and irony was his favourite album goddammit is my favourite is from here to infirmary because private eye and stupid kid are on that album and I love those songs
@VioIentGoIdFish They did it on another night show too besides letterman. I've just neven been able to find it. The only time I saw it was when I saw it live. It was Leno or Conan or something.
hmm i kinda kno wat ur sayin my fav album by them is probably from her to the infirmary but i love all their albums i dnt agree on wat u said about derek bc i luv him but their new album sounds way different than their old stuff but i think ev one shuld look at it this way their sound and mood changes in every album so get ovr it :p
I can't believe they didn't say their old stuff, except for goddamnit. Their newer stuff isn't nearly as good. Track for track it's definitely good morning though.

Crimson, by far. Such a perfect album
