Oh my GOD! I didn’t know what this top was called but I wanted to ask you to diy it cause I saw it on I am gia for an arm and a leg and here you are doing it because you’re a mind reader I love you mama 😭😭😭❤️
I've been making a dress with this type of shelf bust, and your video was so helpful! I have indeed been crying in my room wondering who I did wrong. And omg I love you. We are on the same wavelength.
Using sewing videos for referance on DIY projects are usually really intimidating... Your humor made this video both much easier to watch AND helped me understand the process better. Thank you!!!!!!
Yaaassssss kween💀 I just love your humour and your channel so much, and have made about 90% of your tutorials. Literally, you're awesome, and as an intermediate sewist even your easy tutorials give me so many new ideas and techniques to stem off of! I can't wait to start making this tomorrow!❤️ Edit for TV recommendations: if you like dark comedies, Baskets is my favorite hands down. It's streaming on amazon prime or hulu!
Thank you so much for your comment, makes me so happy that you’re learning from my channel :) Thanks for the recommendation, sounds like it’s right up my alley so I’ll give it a shot 💕
Girl I just love you!!! Everytime I wanna start a new project and don’t know how to start, u always have an exact vid of what I be looking for. YOU DESERVE THE WORLD ur amazing at what u do!!! Keep doing u I’m SO IN LOVE WITH UR CHANNELLLLL!!!
You're making everything look so easy! Absolutely loving your commentry and sayings, and your videos, makes me inspired to do lots of projects in lockdown, so thank you :)
Omg i have just done my milkmaid top. This is so adorable, I love your tutorials because the way you make all this diy is so simple and easy. Thank you for this diy!!!❤️❤️❤️
Ur tutorials so awesome! I seen someone make this top and i needed better instructions and this looks really simple, im kinda a beginner but im going to try this out!
I don't usually comment but I just want to say the result was beautiful. I've wanted to buy a milkmaid top for a while now but most of the clothing stores are closed in my area. So thank you so much for this tutorial!
Hi girl, i love love what you do and thank you for the DIYs, im always glued to your space. However, I'm a bit confused on how you attached the strap in front, id like to request that you do a similar video of another top with the same design. That way, we'd get much better. Thanks baby gurl.
Amazing work😍 Are you open to taking suggestions on diy crafts to help a new sewer out? Want to make a couple pieces but have no idea how to go about it.
"27 inches... there's your receipt, girl. don't come for me" LMAOOO. not only do i get to learn how to make cute clothes from you, but i also get a comedy show with every tutorial. thank you for being so funny and sharing your knowledge
when turning the fabric at a corner, please leave the needle down (adjust with the wheel at the side of the sewing machine). This makes sure that there aren't any gaps in your seam
loving your videos :) ! xxxx love your end note about refusing to make bread in this pandemic and will just continue to watch shows until there is no more shows to watch lol ! did you find some good shows to watch?! I am keen to make this top tomorrow, spring is here in Aus yay ! :)
Hahaha still didn’t bake banana bread lol Some shows I’ve been binging & loving: Community, Homeland, Modern Family, rewatching The Office, Aggretsuko, Peep Show (LOVE THIS ONE) lol - these are the ones I can think of atm 🤔
@@FashionWizardry sorry it took me 2 weeks to reply to you!! thankyou for your wonderful video here I made 2 of these cami's they are so cute!! ALSO re: shows, ok so here are some of my recommendations: Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn 99, The Boys, Haunting of Hill House, How To Get Away With Murder, Nurse Jackie, Greys Anatomy.....ummm that's all I can think of right now too lol! So many though isn't there- I really liked Homeland I think I got up to season 3 a while ago, I need to get back into it!
I really love this top! I made one for myself and it turned out so cute, thank you 💕 A little question I had: I've been looking at starting my own small sewing business and wanted some easy patterns to start selling. Would it be okay if I used your tutorial for tops to sell? I would give credit of course. If you'd rather not have this I would totally understand of course!
Hmm.. if I’m using a big kimono to create this top, how should i measure the width of the top? Should I put a t shirt over it and trace or measure my ptp?🤔 thank you!
Thank you fo the video, its cute and you made simple to do sew. My suggestion for a series is The Watchmen, it's a science fiction series with a hint of dystopia, drama and black protagonists
This is a really great tutorial! It turned out so well! Have you ever used the stretch stitch on your machine? My favorite for working with knits is actually a twin needle, I don't have the patience for zig zag! Haha.
I’ve tried it a few times and I always end up switching back to the zig zag - I’m just so used to it 🤣 Might try the twin needle and see how I like it, thanks!
loveee this , new sub i’m definitely gonna try this out, just one question i’m rlly confused about the bottom string and top string deal where you only touch the top string lol
Okay, you have two threads that form a stitch right? So after sewing, as I said in the video, you’ll only pull the top thread so that you can gather the fabric. If you pull the bottom thread as well your thread will break and you’ll have to redo the entire stitch again so just stick to pulling one thread until all your fabric is gathered. Hope you understand now :)
this was the easiest tutorial on this i have found. my shirt has the PINK sigh on the boob part with a pink stain on it! and so this was nice that you only used to bottom part!!
Is there anyway I can make a simple tube dress without a sewing machine🥺 I been trying to find one and they sold out everywhere and I really want to still get into making clothes for the summer
just wanted to know if the shirt you use has to be stretchy material. i’ve been making these tops for friends but we seem to struggle to get the waist band over our shoulders/hips, as i make the band to fit their waist, which is smaller than the rest of their body. if this makes any sense, is there anything that can stop this?
I used stretchy material in this coz it’s easier to get it over your shoulders - if you’re using non-stretchy material you have to add a zipper (maybe on the side so that it’s not visible?). This way you can easily wear the top and close it up once it’s on your bod
Fashion Wizardry i was thinking of getting zips! was also thinking about replacing the back band with a strap that can be tied so my friends are able to adjust what length they want it at. thank you for your help!! x
“if you back stitch you will end up in prison”
I SCREAMED SNXBSJ

@@FashionWizardry do you think i can recreate this with handsew and fabric glue? i dont have a sewing machine :'(

You are not wrong about this 💀

This is a really great tutorial! It turned out so well! Have you ever used the stretch stitch on your machine? My favorite for working with knits is actually a twin needle, I don't have the patience for zig zag! Haha.

@@FashionWizardry Yeah, I totally get that. The twin needle is easier to use than it seems. It just takes some tension adjustment. :)

im DEFINITELY going to make this but one question tho, what type of material is best in making this kind of top?
I used stretchy cotton fabric

Why didn't you model the other other top you made?
