Thank you I was the driver of that car. I wish had gone full throttle from the start but was hoping for a regular derby not getting teamed on. Its ok tho all thoes guys and I shook hands and they are good buddies now
Sandbagging is boring I agree but when you put hrs and hrs into building a car just to take yourself out possibly in the first hit. If you want to win money its better to save as much car as possible for the feature. OR win mad dog and advance automatically to the next round. Depending on the rules set forth.
if you trying to feed your children or get rich.. aint gonna happen.. its just to put on a show... laying back to make it to the end is a half ass way to do it....
I saw one online yesterday where a guy went from one end to the other right at the start and hit another car super hard that hadn't even moved yet. And took himself and that car both out on the first and last hit
Until these drivers learn to use their indicators, observe lane discipline and extend courtesy to the other drivers, accidents will continue to happen. I didn't notice a single driver exchanging insurance details which leads me to suspect that some may not even be insured. I am informing the local authoroties of this. How do they explain the car marks to mum and dad when they get home? And do they pay for the repairs? Probably not. Here in England, because we always observe the rules, there has never, ever, been a traffic accident. My policy for safe driving: I always drive in the middle of the road and never exceed 30 mph. Every driver who overtakes me always says "thanks" by honking loudly and waving his clenched fist at me. You see, good driving is appreciated. England, January, 2024.
Backwards...in a small patch of dirt? This is pathetic. If you want to see REAL demolition derby, go watch Team Demolition Derby at Route 66 IN Joliet, IL. Not this garbage.
dernition of a demo is to disable your opponent using the back of your car to smash the front of the other car, what you guys do in Joplin isn't a demo its suicide.
great show, thanks for loading the video.
Grate derby thanks for posting
The guy in the lumber car is a badass. The three big cars at the end had to team on hm to get him out.

Yeah. Those shows are awesome but most derbies are in a small dirt area and yeah compacts go backwards. 🤷🏼♂️
