    Do you notice any difference using the puck screen with a hole in the middle versus the standard puck screen?

    • @danishcoffeeguy

      Hey
      the reason I use it is that on the linea mini there is a big screw in the shower head so a "normal" pick screen doesn't fit and will bend

      @@danishcoffeeguy I just tried April Roastery, and I liked their espresso a lot. The Costa Rican one much more than the one from Ecuador. Next, I will try the ones from Ethiopia and Guatemala.
      I have also ordered from Norway, from Tim Wendelboe, which I will try in the end of the month. I was surprised how fast it arrived. From Danish roasters, it normally arrives in 3 days, but from Tim (Norway) it arrived in just 2 days

    Why is the puck screen necessary? I would have expected that the shower screen on a quality machine like a LMLM would be sufficient?

      keeps the shower screen clean has nothing to do with the quality of LM

      Weak spot of the setup. Classic mistake of blowing it all on the espresso machine. Ratio is off. But that's not even the issue. DF64V will be better by default, quieter, more burr sets, variable RPM.

    • @danishcoffeeguy
      @danishcoffeeguy  Місяць тому

      @@RasenRambo23 lol the DF83 is a very good grinder. I'm sorry that it doesn't cost as much as the machine if that would've made you feel better. Not sure why you call this a "mistake" and it's got SSP burrs there is no reason for me to buy a new grinder just because my machine cost more. I have the money to buy whatever grinder I want but I just don't see it changing anything for me :) thank you tho

    • @RasenRambo23
      @RasenRambo23 Місяць тому

      @@danishcoffeeguy The DF64V is cheaper than the DF83. As I stated, it's not about the price ratio. It's just the better machine because of variable RPM. But it's fine, some people don't like to be able to control every single aspect and just enjoy a linear work flow.

    • @danishcoffeeguy
      @danishcoffeeguy  Місяць тому

      @@RasenRambo23 idk which one of the grinders are better. I got a good deal on the df83 with ssp burrs before it even came out in the EU and I needed an upgrade so I just pulled the trigger on this. Also because it was new. I'm not too familiar with RPM etc so it's not a must for me :) if I were to buy a new one right now it would probably be the p64
