I am a Muslim. I can understand what Bob is trying to convey. We are like and share Allah in many of his attributes BUT we humans don't possess the size of the attributes. For example, I can give gifts to many people but not against my interest , but Allah do give too but infinitely and non-stopping-ly . So I think this quran verse has to be re-written in a way that removes the ambiguity.
The Qur'an does not need to be rewritten. This a kufr statement. Unless you mean the English translation needs to be clearer? You need to clarify what you meant saying that.
Secondly, Bob knows that God as All-Knowing does not mean the attribute of God's Knowledge has the same nature as His creation's attribute otherwise that falls into anthropomorphism. So what's so hard to understand?

To the commentors above we need to understand and be very aware of people claiming to be Muslim. Don't take anyone's words for granted on any subject matter but specifically not on Islam. I think this guy has some problem with logic, Allah has knowledge but Allah is not knowledge like Allah loves and not Allah is love and so on. We believe in Allah having all knowledge that is complete and perfect and this goes by logic ( by the way He know the hour and not like Jesus who say I dont know)and Allah gave a tiny bit of knowledge to us, our knowledge differ we dont know how Allah is and what his knowledge is or how this knowledge is but we understand what the word knowledge mean whats the concept behind. I presume that you are an evangelical christian and you believe in the doctrine of the trinity and vicarious atonement but not doing good works then you also believe as long as a man who rapes and murders your daughter and then repents and later on sin the same sin or a man rapes and murders your sister and then repents and later on sin the same sin or a man rape and murders your mother and then repents and later on sin the same sin or rapes and murders your wife and then repents and later on sin the same sin and evangelical christian still believes in the doctrine of the trinity and also believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross for his sins that he will be forgiven and will go to heaven and despite continuing to rape and murder innocent people but will still go to heaven as he still believe in the doctrine of the trinity and also as long as he still believes that Jesus died on the cross because you believe that this man is your evangelical christian brethren who you will embrace him but you also believe that good works are just like dirty rags according to your apostle Paul as your apostle Paul also said that faith alone believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins they you are forgiven and will go to heaven is your only salvation.
