I miss Ethel and Dot, both brilliant characters and a beautiful friendship. I cried when I saw they were buried next to each other in Dot's funeral episode.

❓❓❓❓ 🤔🤔What I have never understood is why NO ONE ever moved into the first flat occupied by Pete/Kathy/Ian. It was more modern looking than any other home. Throughout the years, every home has had multiple owners, except Casa Beale. Also, no one ever lived where Andy and Debbie lived. I think both couples lived apartments but no one ever else did. They all live in row houses. Why is that? It's really bugging me.
I grew up with "Ian," and am the same age as he, so I've seen Adam portray the role nearly 40 years now. I must say that even as a teen he was already a very talented actor.
Andy and debbie lived in number 43 which has had several people live there
Ian had a very one dimensional view of what makes a bird happy.

To be fair, after a really weak decade the show is going through something of a Renaissance right now. Chris Clenshaw did a lot of damage control and has completely changed the tone and pace of the show, it's the best it's been since the Santer era now.
