💜This is such a gift! Elegant Themes is giving us the chance to help shape Divi 5 as a community, tweaking each version until we land on the final one... how cool is that? It’s like being in a chef’s kitchen, tasting the dish while it’s cooking, making it just the way you like, and getting served something amazing, custom-made for you. I’ve always said it, and I’ll keep saying it: we’re so lucky to have chosen Divi! What an awesome team and community. Thanks, Elegant Themes, and long live Divi!
With the next version it fits to add the ability to work on a second monitor as well. I mean that it should be possible to open the tool panel on the second screen, because it obscures the image. Constantly switching between tool screens is tiring.
One of the most important things that the new version of divi should have is the ability to create extensive menus, especially for mobile versions, with a number of animations for the hamburger menu and menu display. The second thing is advanced popups, also responsive with various options. The third thing is a better contact form with better security than mathematical operations. The fourth thing is all kinds of carousels - for photos, posts, blurbs, etc. The fifth is the automatic conversion of graphics to new lightweight formats and (with the user's request) changing the size to a smaller one. The sixth cool solution would be to improve the video - especially the one we want to put in the background of the page - in different formats, or convert the videos to appropriate formats from the Divi level. The seventh thing that would be nice is more options with SVG animations. The 8th thing is to zoom in on photos opened from the gallery with a pinch without using css. Ninth are better options for the blog and the ability to hide the date, author, etc. from the divi level. The last of such quick tips is the tenth - integration as much as possible with various plug-ins and systems - tutor cms, dokan, etc. so that everything can be edited from the level of divi and systems such as zapier, manychat and thousands of others - that is, what divi was so good at , and Elementor was going crazy, although Elementor was pissed off with these divi integrations, maybe you know what to do on your knees. That's it for today. Whoever agrees, lets like!
I just tested Divi 5 public Alpha, everything seems to be running from my end. I don't design websites that requires alot of complicated things. I often use Child Theme and place all my custom CSS and Php there. I don't know about the newly improved speed(not entirely impressed), i will have to check my Internet speed. My PC is also an upgrade cnt be it. All in All i enjoy the interface, easily understandable, love what you did with put everything on top next to each other for easy access. The responsive option for devices is snappy enjoy it. When i save my work it takes literally 1s to exit. The theme so far seems stable. I wanna push it a bit to see what is it that is still struggling with. THANK YOU NICK WITH YOUR TEAM AT ELEGANT THEMES. All love from South Africa.
Thanks guys. I love ❤ Divi for ever. But in divi 5 Alpha I missing pick module element. By clicking we can quickly move to do signing part of that module element
It's very hard to find the template or doing design like woodmart, flatsome theme for e-commerce based site. And most of the template of divi for e-commerce site are not like the popular traditional design. We need it badly before switching to another theme industry.
We'll sprint forward with new features once Divi 5 is finished and the new foundation is complete. Flexbox grids and a Loop Builder are at the top of the list, along with custom breakpoints, improved accessibility, nested columns, and everything else we know you need.
@@elegantthemes Thank you for confirming but is it possible to give us a general idea of when these features will be made available? This isn't to hold you to it but really to get an understanding of when this will be made available, perhaps in the the next 6 months may be or a year? Understanably the Divi 5 update has taken longer and missed deadlines but it was a complete overhaul and understantable. However, is the effort to add these features, which to be honest is almost the bare minimum for a website building tool, take the same time to implement ie more than a year?
The code is outdated, I've looked. It's unfortunate but the latest CSS which includes nesting, @layers, and specifically grids for things like the gallery the column layouts aren't used.
Wait, wait, wait, simple things like flex or grid are not integrated? And I've tried it on several pages (in staging builds), but it doesn't work. I really hope you get this right. Good luck, and of course I will continue to help with testing.
Divi 5 is much faster than before, that is awsoooome!! but if you will not add flex container and grid system it can not make me return. Thanks for your hard work though.

So far, the migration feature fails misreably. All my pages built in Divi 4 are now broken in Divi 5. The Divi builder especially for building the header and footer.
Firstly, secondly, thirdly, fourthly...? Fifthly, the migration does not work. I would suggest creating from scratch with any major update of a builder. Same thing happened between DIVI 3 and DIVI 4, so not surprised.
I have been giving positive criticism when ET was publishing those non sense YT videos.... Now it's time to say thanks... wishing you all the lucks,,,, I hope you have focused on headers and footers by default. Also, please make useful tuts...
I don't know why you always look sad. Your face resembles that of someone whose family member has just died. You put a little smile on your face and then deliver the news. BTW, thanks mate.
I think we get the message! Why is every video I click pointing to this one! I want to watch "Getting To Know The Divi 5 Interface: 10 Changes & Improvements", but this one loads. The UI looks very Wordpress like and very plain and ugly from what I saw. Bring back SOME design, please!
I hope true product is better than the demo, the installation was slow-therefore painful. The execution of all of it is dreadfully slow, loading is terrible by any stretch of the imagination. Once you get to the actual product and page builder, there are some nice things there. That said, it’s painful…not worth my time so far.
Here is an example of Divi 5 running on the cheapest Pressable hosting plan for reference: ua-cam.com/video/gMDMAZBszak/v-deo.html It's significantly faster than Divi 4, but we're not done improving it, and there may be bugs. It will be even quicker in the end! Be sure to open a bug report so we can take a look, and don't forget to disable all of your plugins to ensure that the slowness isn't coming from somewhere else.
Thank you, I can't wait to try Divi 5. Just a suggestion: can you develop Divi to align with WCAG for accessibility.
That would be so helpful!
That would be totally amazing
Looking forward to taking it through its paces.
Yay! Well done guys. Thank you. I’m looking forward to having a play with Divi 5! Keep up the great work!
You did it again, great job. Found many bugs, but I can also see all the work behind it! You deserver a beer.
This is actually incredibly exciting. Hoping it solves the mobile performance issues which seem to plague all Divi sites.
You guys rock with testing and comms to your users. Can't wait to test it out.

That's kind of the point of an Alpha release...

Thank you, what a great day. Thanks Nick and team :)
Well done on your work. What's great is that the parallax effect works on smartphones. This will allow for beautiful dynamic presentations.
Wish more Divi 5 Best Practice tutorial come out, benefit for many learners, thanks. 😊👍
Happy to see Divi and Elementor competing and learn from each other, is good for us as users,
wish both of them grow and lower down cost and price.😄
Happy to see Divi is pushing both leading Editor grow, very good.
Wish after sometime Divi even better than Elementor !!! 😄
Wish Divi focus on most developers' needs, add more plugin for special developers too.😊👍
Thanks much for the update!

Thank you finally we are getting close! I hope we will be able to set the size text of the dashboard builder, too small in my opinion :(

Well Done !
Divi elegant as always!
woot woot...I'm looking forward to being an alpha tester.
I noticed that the FOUC problem is still in Divi 5. It will be nice to get rid of it once and for all.
No CSS grids for column/row layouts or CSS nesting means it's already dated.
thank you so much
Thanks for updates that I'm waiting from months and hope to meet Google speed requirements

It better be faster. I'm ready to ditch Divi due to the slowness. Do NOT dare say it's my internet speed (1gbps)
