    My sister and I loved this vid and gained so much respect for Clint and the equipment staff after seeing it. A year later at our first Hawks convention, we ran into him and asked him for a pic. I told him that we were his biggest fans, to which he said "you guys should probably find somebody else."
    While he might have downplayed the importance of the work he did for the team, he was the most unheralded of the behind the scenes staff for the Blackhawks. So deserving of having his name on the cup forever.
    Rest in peace, Clint. Here's hoping the boys can get the cup back for you in June.

    The players might be the stars of a sports team but it's the folks behind the scenes that keep the organization up and running and without the long hours and hard work they put in, it would make things a lot more difficult.
    Kudos to them for holding things together. Behind the scenes clips like these give people a unique insight into what they do and just how important they really are to a club....

    It's tradition to come back to this video.
    To see that the heroes of a hockey team aren't just the ones who skate on the ice.
    May you rest in peace Clint 🖤♥️

    The lowly paid unsung heros who stand behind and work tirelessly for the pampered $10 million dollar players, not only for Chicago but any NHL team. You cant say enough about these guys. Thumbs up and props!

    @bukakee1 a lot of the equipment mgr's today actually have college degrees in sports mgt,and get their foot in the door through intenships..I know 2 guys who work for the PGH Pirates one runs the visitor clubhouse(orders things for away team,in charge of batboys,laundry etc..) he makes a definite 6 figures,the other is asst equip mgr for the bucs..The perks are insane.I would imagine working for an NHL organization is pretty sweet no matter what you're doing.

    Actually their base salary is probably quite a modest, average salary that probably increases with years of experience and seniority. The real money they make is when they get "appreciation tips" or gifts at the end of the season from various millionaire players...

    Whats the hours like that NHL trainers work must be long with little sleep sometimes !! Anyone know this question ?

  • @bern1417
    @bern1417 12 років тому

    @bukakee1 Ast Equipment Managers probably 65k-85k..However,they also get tipped out at the end of the year by the players.That's what happens in baseball,I'm guessing hockey is the same.In baseball each player has to pay clubhouse dues.This goes toward drinks,food,etc...

    I just happened to click on this video and after watching it came to comment that this has to be one of the most stressful jobs out there. All the shit you have to get just right for everyone and not wanting to mess up. Then I read that this man hung himself. I seriously hope it was not related to work. How sad. Hope the Hawks win it for him this month. RIP buddy.
